I miss watching new episodes of TNYW. I sure do appreciate them being posted. I met Norm once at a grand opening of Home Depot in West Mifflin PA. Very nice man.

Being a thrifty soul myself, I really like seeing Norm repurposing old salvaged lumber. That night table/cupboard is delightful.

The bedside cupboard is a great little project. I don't recall seeing this one when the show was on the air. Thanks for posting this lost episode.

Thank you for posting the bedside cupboard It looks like we are now at the 1996 season and I am so looking forward to the 1996 router table and the Paymasters desk.

Thanks to you Russ and also to Norm for helping out create some fond memories for me growing up with this and TOH. I picked up some cherry wood over the weekend and did the initial milling to start building the library table Norm built. Looking forward to the process.

Please bring Norm back with R Morash together to build something simpler like that chair. It would be incredible.

I have built some of the projects with the plans, others without. Interesting to see that there was no plan for this one. (Easy enough to figure it out of course.) Great piece. I plan to make something similar for a friend.

I wonder if the variations in naming led to this one getting mislaid? In my notes (I assume from tv listings of the time in the UK) this was recorded as "Night table". I'm sure I've also seen "Bedside Table". Now it seems to called "Bedside Cupboard" - but anyway great to see it back, thank you for recovering it. There seems to be several problems with S8, e.g. I believe episodes 3, 6 and 13 are all hard to find. For some reason they were always skipped in the broadcast schedule. 13 was the original router table, I do have it but it's not great quality (I had it on a PAL VHS tape which I've since digitized and cleaned up a bit).

Before we use any power tools let’s take a moment to talk about shop safety. Be sure to read, understand, and follow all the safety rules that come with your power tools. Knowing how to use your power tools properly will greatly reduce the risk of personal injury. And remember this: There is no more important safety rule than to wear these safety glasses.
