Now ther are two types of conditioner one is for water based stains and piants .The other is for oil based stains and paints you have to match your wood conditioner to your stain. and my invite still stands

Siren means warning. I live in West Tennessee and our sirens will not sound off unless a tornado was spotted locally or within the certain distance. We have two shelters we can go to in our small town. If you watch Arms Family Homestead or Do Your Best you will see the devastation in Sulphur, OK. My county was hit in 2006 by an F4 tornado and 12 people were killed. If we are in a watch I check the weather but if the sirens go off at night I stay put. If I see where it is it is best to shelter in place away from windows.

I hope you don’t mind if I ask for your expertise on cutting red tone on an antique oak table I’m refinishing for my son. He bought this sans chairs and bought oak chairs with more of a golden oak/early American tone. Even after stripping and sanding I can tell that red is going to come out with any stain I try. I have never used a wash before but thought about trying a greenish wash to cut the red but wondered if it turns out too cool if I could use a light stain to warm it up a bit. I assume using washes means I need to stick to water based products. Any specific products you could recommend would be welcomed.
