I'm from Monterrey, and I clearly remember that at some point in my childhood, there was a period of time in which people where truly afraid to head outside pass 7-8 o'clock due to the numerous sightings of abnormal flying creatures or as we called them "brujas" .(ps. english is not my mother tongue, but I hope y'll understand my comment jaja) (2nd ps.. this is one of the best channels i've encountered in a very long time, amazing content :)

Shout out to these gentleman doing these dope projects. As a chicano, my parents are from Mexico. Both my grandparents, as well as relatives that live in Mexico and even my mother told me a story about my father capturing a chicken or bird that talked and was in the process of morphing into a human like creature. The story goes that when my father was young, I say mid-teens he was out and about one early evening when he noticed a bird acting very strange so what my father did he tied it up to a tree. Next day, he goes back to the tree where he tied up the bird with a couple of friends and siblings. Upon arrival they noticed this bird was hanging on a tree branch, they saw it and it talked to them, it sounded like a female. Furthermore, it was changing into a human like creature. Out of terror, they all ran away. When I was visiting Mexico and this story was told to me, it creep me the hell out, I had trouble sleeping that night. My wife is from Mexico. She has an uncle whose exwife tried to kill him multiple times. She was involved in deep native witch craft. And 2 times she flew to his window to scare him. He had recently found Jesus Christ and told her to leave now in Jesus name. The woman didn't like what she heard and flew away. Sadly She eventually died and never changed her ways.

Greetings from Monterrey. These stories were in both newspapers and TV back in the day. I had the opportunity to see first hand the actual police photos (Polaroids) of the damaged police cruiser. It was badly damaged in the front, left side and the windshield was pierced and thorn. The official report is that the officer was surrounded by a gang and attacked with metal rods from a nearby construction site. The polaroids included footprints of sneakers and the actual rods with paint scraps on them. The local TV made a fuss of this, but never cared to mention the dozen of footprints and the rods.

What I think is strange is the fact that they said he was "trying to find reverse." Not sure if this was the actual cruiser, but they showed a Ford Crown Victoria. The Crown Vic was only produced in automatic, so finding reverse would take you 1-2 seconds if you managed to hit every single gear before getting reverse. It's not like a manual, where you could easily put it in 4th or 1st if you were panicked and rushing

Thanks to top5s for the collab! It was an interesting experiment, having you narrate the usual BTS content, and I can see it working nicely with some practice. (For example, police yourself on mispronounciations and the voiceover not matching the script/subtitles, and the way Richie avoids both of those is one reason why I am subbed.) The subject matter is pretty chilling and the writing is rock solid (Officer Santiago's story made me stop breathing normally!), although the coverage felt a bit barebones. From what I know, you can get several accounts of these _brujas_ from Bolivia and Argentina, and while they probably go for a different name in Brazil, our folklore owes nothing to Southeast Asia in terms of scary creatures.

Funny that Im actually visiting family in Monterrey when you guys realeased the video. About 10 years ago my uncle was driving on Avenue Atzlan near Unidad Modelo. It was past midnight and he came at red light. A pharmacy was nearby and he saw a figure. He claimed it was a witch. It was a dark figure with bloodred eyes. In that moment a wave of terror rushed over him. He booked it ignoring the red light and went straight home. When he came home, he was in a pure state of shock. Although i wouldnt say it was a "life-changing" it is still a fresh memory to this day.

I have always enjoyed the level of research that has gone into all the subjects this channel has looked at and I must say I found the research in this particular one to be lacking the quality I'm used to from Bedtime Stories. I suppose I was expecting more focus on the starting topic rather than the all encompassing yet vague exploration presented. I wonder if this was because of a desire to meet a deadline of some sort and so not having enough time to really look as deeply into it as you've done for so many others. If that is the case please, take all the time you need because I far more enjoy you usual well research content over what feels like almost filler content. I hope that my criticism can be taken positively because it is offered with genuine sincerity and a desire to see you continue to produce fantastic and enthralling content.

Modern day cameras are so sophisticated these days that compelling high definition evidence should be in the grasp of most people. The publish date says today, August 4th. The timestamp of upload on the main browser said mere minutes ago. Yet here in the comments, the timestamp shown says "4 days ago". Quite strange.

I have actually noticed when occasionally checking on my own comments that the time stamps "posted....days ago" are hardly ever correct. Sometimes I have posted a comment one week beforehand and the time stamp says "three days ago" or even "two weeks ago" or something like that. I haven't a clue why this should be but I wouldn't put much importance into the matter - unless you dearly need an alibi for some reason ! ? 😲
