His hand was quickly burned without any source of flame, his radio was fried, and he got cancer? And all this was right outside a nuclear facility? And he was drunk? And there was someone in a body covering silvery outfit with what looked like a black void for a face? And the people at the plant investigated the area thoroughly, were unsurprised, wouldn't let anyone near, and were weirdly defensive? And there was a dead rabbit with no obvious injuries? And it was night? Sounds like a radiation leak, someone in a hazmat suit, and a bit of hallucination or skewed perception.

My guess is that when the rumours didn't stop, and Kenneth Edward's declining health seemed to prove his story, they decided to try to sabotage his character by accusing him of being drunk and creating the prank story.

When swamp gas and weather balloons have been discredited then discredit the witness by any means necessary. I love when photos are blurry and you can’t make out things clearly for whatever reason and they say you need a great deal of evidence and discount the photos but when they are clearly visible in a handful and experts say no tampering was found by photography but discount the clear images as being too visible therefore also discredited. Do I know what is going on? Absolutely not, but we are very arrogant thinking we are the brightest of any other group in our history and that there is so much we don’t know even with our giant leap forward in society in regards to understanding both the cosmos and our planet with much hidden in caves and underground and in bodies of water of all types across our planet. Two possibilities here: 1- A radiation leak had happened, guy in a hazmat suit, and a hallucination due to the alcohol. He developed some sort of PTSD of the experience from his drunken state, and the cancer may have been from the alcohol(?). Then the Security team covered it up to hide the embarrassment of a leak. 2- He encountered some kind of alien or robot (or alien robot) that was used to an environment that has different amount of gravity then earth, then fired some sort of energy weapon that literally fried him and his radio. Then used some sort of phase-shifting capabilities to pass though the fence. Either way, made a great story...

I would assume that a nuclear plant would have personnel on site, with proper protective clothing , who would be able to deal with any contingency, while awaiting backup if needed. A nuclear accident seems unlikely, unless it was contained quickly and efficiently, with little or no radioactive contamination. It's definitely a weird story. As I said to another commenter: I usually believe that something entirely rational has happened in accounts of the unusual, but in this case, the rational story has more holes than a Star Wars script written by J. @kawadashogo82583 жыл бұрын
I wonder if maybe the silver man didn't walk through a solid object at all, but through a gap in the fence. When I was a kid, the playground of my school had a part of the fence where it still appeared to be attached to the fence post but actually was disconnected from it so you could pull it away like a curtain and walk through. Me and some other kids used it as a shortcut to get home, as my house was in that direction and the alternative was walking all the way around the baseball field. Perhaps the fence around the fire station had a similar thing, a slight gap where it was disconnected from the fence post so you could pull the fencing away like a curtain and then put it back in place once you've walked through. To a guy watching this in the dark from his vehicle and while allegedly slightly intoxicated and already a bit freaked out by what he was seeing, a guy walking through a gap in the fencing might appear to be walking directly through the fence. I'm not saying I think this is what definitely happened; I just think it's plausible. Of course that doesn't explain the radio and the burns on his hand though.

He and his wife, Barbara went to the police and reported it. Ken was never believed by the police and they even tried to trick him with an atomic worker in a fireman's hazard uniform. it's funny how almost always the skeptic explanations are more nonsensical than the paranormal explanation. like first of all what alcohol causes hallucinations like that? maybe absinthe but who tf drinks that shit? besides even if Ken was drinking absinthe he wasn't just driving a car, but he drove to a police station and managed to convince the police that he had experienced something strange. at this point he should have been caught driving under the influence, but of course he didn't since he was sober at that time. and when it comes to the fireman, what the hell was he doing walking in a dark road wearing the fireman suit? do the skeptics not understand how a prank even works? if he pranked the students at the dormitory then he did it and was done with it, there was no reason for him to walk around a dark road and assume that some random passerby is going to notice him and react to his presence in a funny way. on the other hand this case does have some interesting details, there have been other cases where people around the world have reported seeing these strange metallic men who do not have articulated limbs. similarly these encounters involve the metallic man turning towards the witness, looking at them and continue their journey (not to talk about the weirdly specific radiation damage and the messing with electronics).

This beam emitted by the “ awkward tin man” is a reoccurring weapon used by extraterrestrials . Two mentioned above one in Falkville ,Al and another in Brazil. I’ve also heard of UFOs using beams in a destructive way in both Korea and Vietnam as well as a French farmer that was hit with a beam by a demon/extraterrestrial in his field and he also died with in weeks or a couple months. If this man was so drunk he was hallucinating I don’t think he could’ve driven that well and his wife and the police would’ve easily noticed this. Plus people saw UFOs in the facility . Much more difficult to believe all this came about by a large fireman in a silver suit. Great story , and well told love the art too! Thanks!

I took a course in pneumatics at UKAEA Risley back in about 1986. The site was engineering design and manufacture for the UK nuclear industry, so there wasn't really much "hot" stuff on site other than the Universities Research Reactor run by Manchester and Liverpool universities. There *was* a corrugated iron shed near the pneumatics classroom that was plastered in signs saying "HARD X-RAY SOURCE, KEEP OUT", but one day a couple of guys went inside and came out with lawnmowers to cut the grass, so I suppose what I'm saying is that the most hazardous thing on site that I know about was the coffee.

My logical side says man in a suit, random coincidence. However, I really like the idea of an Ed Wood esk alien stumbling around shooting eye lasers.
@theneonseal67924 жыл бұрын
I usually believe that something entirely pedestrian happened in these accounts. The problem with this case is that the supposed rational explanation is more contrived than the notion of hushed-up shenanigans involving unethical atomic experimentation (seriously, the whole drunk story has more holes than a Star Wars script written by J. J. Abrams).
@stonedjasonvoorhees59594 жыл бұрын
@@theneonseal6792 Same. I always side on the "some dude in a suit" rationality while fully believing in Cryptids and monsters. This one case is great because there's a giant hole in the rational side, i.e. the radio. That's the one thing that makes it still viable for.atomic monsters. Which is why we are all here listening, are we not?
@theneonseal67924 жыл бұрын

What's interesting is during the period when the most sightings were reported in the 1950s and then Hollywood came out with all the silly B movies it's interesting to note the many of the so-called monsters moved exactly like the one in this story. Red eyes continually pop up even now, as had the Mothman in the 60s. But someday we'll know hopefully in my lifetime when's the powers that be recognize we're not going to have this massive panic. In a very real sense there is no paranormal, reality is reality and what happens happens. It is what it is.

The effects of weed and alcohol are very similar. I have done both. Once, I was so high, I thought I was gonna die. Shaking, incredibly rapid heartbeat, room and body felt like it was spinning, etc. Despite that, no visual or auditory hallucinations that could've convinced me that someone in a fire-resistant suit in front of a set of headlights was an alien or monster.

It was never specifically said that it was the being that caused it the second time. The description of this being has a striking similarity to the Solway Firth Spaceman, namely the bright white/silvery full body suit with a dark visor and both being seen in the UK. 15:00 I’ll be honest. I’ve been drunk before. REALLY drunk. Pass-out-in-the-woods-with-friends-for-hours drunk. I’ve never been so drunk that I could have hallucinated whatever that was. The notion of it being a drunken lie to pacify an angry wife, followed by the sober decision to double down? That makes much more sense to me. Either this was something he actually saw, and the details may or may not be totally accurate; or he was just trying to insult his wife’s intelligence and it apparently didn’t work because she took it hook, line, and sinker.
@kezzabanana49584 жыл бұрын
This unfortunate guy regardless of drinking alcohol without doubt encountered something very strange indeed, firstly you can't blame the alcohol as he wasn't that drunk to be able to drive home at night without incident except this event! The unusual coincidences of his hand getting a burn to it how? Then the radio breaking how? And this guys personality certainly wouldn't be going around making up extraordinary tales especially to the authorities! Being a unassuming quiet young man. What did he see? Well we'll for sure we'll never know now, but he certainly saw something strange. My opinion is it probably was some kind of nuclear accident which this guy in silver was emitting extreme radiation around him hence he probably died, and in turn eventually killed Mr Edwards. Despite all the theories this in the end was a tragic incident for all involved that night in which Mr Edwards was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time.
