This was a #1 song in the US. This 1975 song was largely recognized as the Bee Gees comeback song.That rhythm was recognized by Barry Gibb as they crossed a bridge on their way to Criteria Recording Studios in Miami. Good choice from good fans.
@brianwilkins7737 Жыл бұрын
That tick tick tick tick beat you hear Barry said they stayed at Eric Clapton’s Florida home and the drive to the studio they crossed over a bridge and the metal strips on the bridge like every ten feet the sound your tires make… that’s how they came up with this beat.. amazingly talented

When my daughter was still in diapers (she is a professional with a Master's Degree now) I could put this song on, and she would come RUNNING into the room to dance... no matter where she was in the house. My clearest memory was her running into the living room in only a diaper, and her "tucky" (pacifier) in her mouth, and she stopped in one spot and just started dancing on the spot. Of course, "dancing" was just putting her feet apart, and holding her arms out, and shaking her butt around. My wife and I were laughing so hard - it was one of those precious moments as a parent that never leaves you, ever! I always LIKED the song, but because of this memory, I will LOVE it to my grave!

Please try Woman in love ... writing by the BeeGee's by request of Barbara Streisand, and she sings it beautifully

Interesting note on this song ... because the song was such a departure from the Bee Gees previous sound, their producer Robert Stigwood, sent the song out to radio stations without the group's name on it. The 45rpm record (that's what radio stations played back in the day) just had the title of the song. Stigwood figured that curiosity would get DJ's to listen to the song, rather than having them see the group's name on the record and dismissing it out of hand.

This marked a definite shift in their music away from their previous style of orchestral pop and ballads, such as "To Love Somebody." I think this one crossed over to the R&B charts a bit also. Jive Talkin' came out in 1975 and went to #1 on Billboard top 100. This song began the most commercially successful period of the long BeeGees career, with a total of 8 number 1 songs from 75 to 79. You have already reacted to some of those songs but not all. Any #1 BeeGee hit would be a good choice for reaction. Here are the #1 hits during this mid 70 to late 70 period: Jive Talkin' 1975 You Should Be Dancing 1976 How Deep Is Your Love 1977 Stayin' Alive 1977 Night Fever 1978 Too Much Heaven 1978 Tragedy 1979 Love You Inside Out 1979
