Stylez Beast Mode uh I’m a HUGE Prince fan and yes he sang falsetto and he’s a genius. My opinion of Barry being the king of falsetto not only stems from the fact he can do it well, but he does it with vibrato. I never said Prince couldn’t sang, but it’s my personal opinion. Wow didn’t expect a slap down and definitely not making it a race thing over who sings better. Let’s be cool with our comments.

@@burtreynolds2969 What we call the bass line is not very memorable. But we call it the bass line because its played by the bass. But the guitar riff is actually playing in the bass register and the bass is playing in the contrabass register. So from an instrumentalist point of view it's a guitar riff but from an avarage person and from a technical point of view it's a bass line.

@lauriebarnes29994 жыл бұрын
Barry's voice is just wonderful but you haven't experienced Robin's angelic voice yet, but girl, when you do, you'll be glad you did! His voice is just amazing! He kind of got pushed aside during the disco era so you need to react to songs pre and post disco. Songs from the late 60's and early 70's like "I Can't See Nobody", "Massachusetts", "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "Run to Me", and Robin's signature song which was actually played at his funeral, "I Started a Joke". This is barely scratching the surface with their earlier songs. Some of these Robin shares the lead with Barry and others he shines totally on his own ("Joke"). There are beautiful songs that Robin takes the lead on post disco as well or shares with brother Barry. "Bodyguard", "For Whom the Bell Tolls", "Rings Around the Moon", "Ellan Vannin" and "Wedding Day" to name just a few. His solo work in the 1980's is wonderful, too. Check out "Juliet" from 1983, "Boys Do Fall in Love" from 1984 and "Toys" from 1985 for starters. Hope this give you some insight into the Bee Gees wonderful songs spanning five decades. Love you and your reactions!

History Check: The subject matter of 'Stayin' Alive' is about survival in the streets of New York inspired by the Nic Cohn paperback Tribal Rites of the Saturday Night who was the plot for the classic Saturday Night Fever Movie. Since 1977 it is now the biggest single from them with 31 times platinum status worldwide 😱 , passed Night Fever six years ago. 👍 It is claimed from in a survey of all radiostations around the globe as most airplayed song of all time in 2017- every 20 seconds - this plays everywhere around the world and for sure it is the most iconic song of the 70´s decade. 🍾 It’s a part of our shared cultural heritage now - one of those pop miracles that just never gets old, never wears off, never loses its charge. It remains alive. And indeed one of the most covered pop songs in history This epic video was filmed on MGM Studios in Culver City in Hollywood California in the filmset ruins of That’s Entertainment starring Fred Astaire from 1974 during the same time when the BeeGees filming the Beatles movie, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 1978 on the lot at the same time.

Now you're talking! I grew up with the Bee Gees! Although the Bee Gees were huge in the late 60s and 70s, they formed their group in 1958, the same year their youngest brother, Andy, was born. Barry is the oldest, Maurice and Robin are next and they are twins, but there is a sister (name escapes me) in between Barry and the twins. Barry and Andy were the heartthrobs! And the tight pants they wore....yowza! Andy also had a great singing voice (also wore the tight pants), and had a solo career. You should check him out, too: Shadow Dancing, I Just Want to Be Your Everything, Desire, An Everlasting Love, and there are many more. Wow! The truly 'great' songs/pieces of music transcend their time, their demographic and their genre. They connect with all of us on multiple levels, and they make it impossible for any sane person to deny their importance and their quality. It doesn't matter if a song is disco, or folk, or hip-hop, or country or dubstep... The ones that actually matter/deserve our attention years later will find a way to 'stay alive' decade after decade. And this one passes that bar with flying colors...
