That's the thing about music made back then...look at all the people! It's the Bee Gees, but there's a whole orchestra back there. No computers. Just pure emotion, harmony, layered musical arrangements, key changes. It makes me tear up because it's amazing but also so rare now. I really wish we could make music like this today, but it costs more money and people are satisfied with simpler music made on computer.

Barry in the middle is 3 years older than Robin and Maurice who are fraternal twins. Iconic band bringing strong emotions effortlessly to the audience , what a superb performance. Bee gees fun fact... what do these 3 massive #1 hit's by the Bee Gees ( Tragedy, Too Much Heaven & Shadow Dancing) all have in common? Not only were they all #1 hits from 1979 but they were all written on the same afternoon! it's crazy when you even think about how talented these 3 brothers were!! The harmonies & Barry's falsetto are second to none! There will never be another group like this again........EVER!

This video was recorded in 1978, they have been performing since 1957. I've always been a fan of them they really established themselves with the John Travolta movie Stayin Alive. On a more somber note I must give a lot of credit to Barry (the one in the middle with the great hair.) because his brothers are all in heaven. The youngest brother Andy died a few years before this video. Get some good sleep Andy, Maurice, Robin........look after your big brother.

Back in the day, imo, they were real musicians and great song writers, whereas today a lot aren't, they're manufactured. It's great to see a whole other generation of music being appreciated by younger people via this platform. These guys are three brothers and they had a younger brother who was great too. If you are a real empress I would not be shocked. You have a royal bearing and class. Your voice is very regal. I can attest to music not being what it was. Even the bad music then is better than most today. The exceptions today being the powerhouse singers. It is rare that the lyrics to a song are so insightful these days. All his brothers have passed, including their little brother Andy, a rising star in his own right before dying. Feeling the music, taking its hand and going places in your mind, that moment when a song touches your soul, are all sweet. Keep listening. It's so enjoyable watching younger generations discovering and appreciating music that I grew up with. I was only 10 when this came out but old enough to remember those times. I used to think 1975-1990 was special because it was my era but have come to realize that it was just a great time for music in general. Thankfully back then I didn't take it for granted. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I have fun watching this. Now for about a year all those channels when young ppl try to discover music. But i have doubts if they really understand what they listening to. You can't say to musicians that are legends and sold milions and milions of records worldwide and changed lifes of milion ppl for more than 50 years, that they are talented... LOL. U can say that maybe to some young band that made their first record... but not to true legends of music. They young ppl don't really realize it.

Barry, the man in the middle, has been married to his wife Linda for 50 years on Sept 1st, the other two brothers are twins and have passed away. They was an even younger brother Andy, who had a solo career but sadly passed years ago at 30yo. The Bee Gees donated this song to UNICEF and it had raised 7 million dollars.
