I developed a severe reaction to bee stings after I was pregnant with my son. I got Epi-pens and made sure I fully suited up every time I worked my bees. He’s 3 now and my reaction is back to being a normal, mild localized reaction.

Hey Kamon & Laurel, Moving bees and I missed the live feed. I caught a nice swarm early last week. I almost let it go and not fool with it bc its so late in the season. But these girls are in building mode! They drew out two and half maybe three frames of foundation in a week. I brought them home with plans to keep stacking foundation on them and FEDD FEED FEED! and see how much comb they will draw. Hope to catch you the next time LIVE.

When I was 21 I got stung on the little finger and my head and face swelled up I went to the ER and got 7 epinephrine shots, I tried to steer clear of any wasp or bees after that now here it id 50 years later and I have had bees for 2 years. I have been stung but no side effects, I do have 2 epi pens just in case and I wear a full ventilated suit.

Two ideas: 1. buy sulfer powder (drugstore), put it in a sock and strike around all edges (pant hem, shirt cuff, collar) before going out into chiggerland. 2. Suffocate the chiggers asap with Chiggeraid or clear fingernail polish. They will itch like monsters when dying but they will not drive you mad for as many days. Ticks? I've got nothing. Find 'em and remove 'em asap if you can. Otherwise ticks are tenacious and removing them in tact a challenge. Thanks for the very helpful beekeeping information.

In my area we get a late flow that has a strong smell, some people tell me it is knotweed, and others say it is Ivy. The honey is nearly black and has a very molassesy rich flavor. Some people love it, some people hate it.

In Pa. We had a hard freeze in the last week of May that killed black locust, oak, Japanese knotweed leaves, they have recovered, not sure the locust will bloom this late or not

I had a bad reaction to bee stings years ago and had to get rid of my bees. A few years ago I got stung by bees. So I decided to get bees again and did not react to bee stings

My brother in law was in military and got chittars . Use clear fingernail polish. It works. I hope you see this because I'm on real late.
