killer stuff beebs! Ive been struggling how to describe my observations with wire behavior for weeks, you nailed it! Once again you deliver with concise, intuitive content

Much is the same as before frontiers, but yeah it was needed to review it now.

the specific part of how the wire twists based on only one of the axis is everything I was missing, it all makes sense now Beebs you big building legend you!

Cool Xaine, great to hear that! 😊 There are still a lot of other behaviours that are missing, especially combining it with a blender glitch. But some things are too difficult to explain even in a video. 😄

I wish I'd seen this video 6 months ago. So useful! I got used to the idea that the wire direction was inconsistent, but now I see that it was my technique being inconsistent. Wire glitching is going to be much quicker now I have a better understanding of the twist mechanics. Thank you Beebs!
Invaluable info on understanding the wire and wire connection. Thanks for explaining it to us

Ofcourse, glad it was helpful. The wire is real fun once you get it.

thanks beebs. getting my head around the new wire behavior has been frustrating. Im slowly getting there, but this is a nice concise summary of it, easy for us dummies to follow.

thank you for your contents and the easy way of explaining things to others, TU. i have a question and please excuse my ignorance, how to switch between the item and the wire on a PC.
@Beeblebum2 жыл бұрын
I am using PC aswell, but with a PS controller. Normally the build menu should show you which key to press for toggling wire. I just had to check, it should be "Q"

How do you change the wiring cable. And I mean the sleeve of the wire.

The rotate option seems to be missing in the toolbar for me. Is it something fixed recently by Hello Games? I'm on PC.
@Beeblebum2 жыл бұрын
Since the 3.71 update, they have taken out that function. Many builders are unhappy about this, I have also made a video and zendesk report of this, in the hope they fix it. If you duplicate the wire (or pipes and cables) you can free place and rotate them still.
@maloiik2 жыл бұрын
does this still work? i dont get it. when i have the wall selected, then try to spawn a wire in its place, the resulting wire isn't centered in the middle but in the position my cursor was

There is any way the lenght of the cable could be increased?
@Beeblebum2 жыл бұрын
Currently the Max lenght of a wire (or cable) is 200u. Before frontiers we had ways to extend the wires, but these techniques are now outdated.

hi beeblebum ;) I really enjoy you're vidéos in général, all things I can build today is because of your many techniks and advices. I sent you photos and coordinates in twitter Have a nive day PS: I don't show coordinates here because somme people told me that some jokers can erase it by reporting it for insulting or inappropriate

Why don't they just make their standard building interface better?
@lordkibagami2 жыл бұрын
Now if we could just get the snap points to work and give us back our 3rd degree of rotation.... Honestly, I feel like building has been handicapped and no amount of glitchbuilding can fix it.
@jaybirdjargon2 жыл бұрын
Glitch building shouldn't be necessary if NMS would allow us the ability to move things along all axes (X, Y and Z) and then would allow us fine movement control to center things....I have watched the tutorials and I have tried to do my own glitching but it always ends up, poorly. I am a bad glitch builder. Best I stick to vanilla building and leave glitch building to the masters.
