Yeah, a lot of times it can be difficult to tell if you're doing something completely wrong or if there's just a little timing issue. Showing when things go wrong makes it easy to understand how to get around those challenges.

Yea... this game has some of the worst building mechanics (or lack there of) I have seen so far. So much potential, yet it falls flat.

@@someone-ji2zb thats because the purpose of the game isn't for base design. Unfortunately, however, base building is a widespread player favorite and the base is a huge huge huge aspect of the game. Your main base is where you always go back to. Needs much more diversity and way better mechanics. *cries in Sims4 gamer who plays NMS religiously*

@@Dana_at_LAXNeither is subnautica's base building, yet at least what little they had in it, worked with each other. They didn't even have a dedicated team to work on it either and kind of just did the bare minimum. No man's sky doesn't even let you properly snap things together, and in many cases you have no snapping at all. So they went through all the effort of dumping a crap ton of things to build with in the game, but actually using them is a pain in the butt to say the least.

It's complicated with hello games. There's no communication between the community and the devs and them using zendesk to report bugs / give suggestions makes it way harder than it used to be. Overall it's a mess and i guess we have to live with it.

Mein Englisch ist zwar recht gut, aber entspannter ist es schon in Deutsch. Aber ja für Videos ist die englische Sprache natürlich eine gute Wahl, denn so erreicht man die meisten Leute. Ich muss diesen Kabelglitch jetzt noch auf dem Controler umsetzen, habe aber dazu schon Lernvideos gefunden und befasse mich da wahrscheinlich heute sogar noch mit. Nett dich kennen zu lernen, saubere Arbeit machst du hier. Ich werde auf jeden Fall öfter hier aufschlagen, ich habe noch viel zu lernen. Schönen Abend noch :-)))

My wish is angled modular ramps for the habitat like pieces. So they can more easily span floors. I don't like using ladders and teleporters.

Sure it would and you actually can, but only on PC. Using a Mod, you can build the whole bridge in 15 seconds or less.

Sort of, you can force them to meet wherever you wan, it all depends on how far you're willing to go to glitch parts in between, to complete the ramp and what the outcome will look like . I know that's not the answer you're looking for, but without showing you what i mean by that in a video, it's kind of pointless.

How do you not jump back to first person when going from deleting a piece back to placing a piece? For me every time I'm in free camera building, if I go from placing a piece to deleting a piece, I'm fine and stay in free camera, but when I go back to placing (pressing Z to bring up the catalog of building pieces), I am kicked out of free camera mode back to first person. It doesn't seem as though that is happening to you.

Building is one of the biggest downfalls of nms. It should not be that difficult to build something so simple. I've had major headaches just trying to get floor panels around a staircase. The build system needs a total rework.
