To parents that should be a warning to you. Never tie your child with a cargo net in the back of a plane, otherwise you end up with a young man that is a flying fool. You kids want zero gravity? I have a feeling his kids will be aerobatic pilots. Great job Bobby.

This channel has become my favourite youtube channel in such a short amount of time! I definitely like the concept of interviewing different people about their airplane and stuff and doing a short trip around the local area in their plane afterwards! I hope there are a lot more of these videos to come in the future! Really looking forward to it! Best regards from Germany

It was great seeing a Dad bring up his little ones. What a great experience for them. I don't know if Bob realizes how much more confidence and equipment relevant competency he demonstrates when he's doing the flying series vs the sailing. Both are good, but you can see the experience come through in body language, how he comments, when he comments and what he comments on. Keep going on this channel. Right now, you definitely can teach a lot to the public here.

Flying saved my life. I was headed the wrong direction in life and flying has been Instrumental in changing my attitude and heading . PUN INTENDED . Lol. Never want to loose my flight privileges so it’s been a motivator. I’m sure there will be plenty snooty people that will say I shouldn’t even be close to an airplane but for those people I have nothing to say. Life is fool of potholes and flying is the best thing to ever have happened to me 👍 Be safe all !

What a great human interest story. Love to hear stories of how the family got into aviation and then passed it down to their children. The Beech Debonaire is a great airplane with fuel efficiency , speed and range. You get it all in one nice package. Love his two cute boys in the back seat. A crosswind landing in 35 knot winds is no joke. You definitely need to have your “ A” game. A very nice crosswind landing . Look forward to many episodes to come.

One of your best videos to date Bobby! I have never heard of the Beechcraft Debonair but it is a very versatile airplane. Handled the crosswind extremely well for a single! I have never hear of an airplane that runs on regular 89 octane gasoline. That has to be a tremendous cost saving when flying. The fuel burn was excellent which helps reduce the cost of flying. Congratulations to Daniel who has managed to get a very good education, started a family and has all of the necessary ratings for a private pilot!

Nice video. My first Beech was a 1961 Deb with IO520 in the 1980s. Now have a1962 P model with V-tail. Both are great airplanes. As you say the Beech does most flying maneuvers very well. Solid well built and predictable performance. I found virtually no difference in performance between straight and V-tail. Still love the thrill of flying every chance I get.

Don’t let him fool you, aviation is extremely expensive. You need deep pockets to own and fly an airplane. You are going to spend in the area of 60 to $70,000 for a Debonair, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. You will spend a bare minimum of $10,000 to get your private pilots license. Don’t forget about fuel cost for your Debonair. 13 gallons per hour at 4 to 5 dollars per gallon, $65 per hour minimum. Storage fees, annuals, maintenance, insurance, all extremely expensive. It’s for those with deeeeeeep pockets.
@angelatovar8393
@angelatovar8393 5 жыл бұрын
I respectfully disagree. You can pick up good V-Tail versions of this Debonair for $40K, getting a license from a private instructor could be as cheap as $6K, the throttle can be pulled back to 9 gallons an hour, and AVGAS is selling for as little as $3.35 right now which is a minimum of $30 per hour (depending on where in the country you live). Of course this still isn't chump change so it will take hard work and sacrafice in order to do it, but if you can settle for a cessna 150 instead of a Beechcraft, the plane and fuel could cost half as much. Also, you pay for the flight instruction and training airplane by the hour, you dont have to afford it all up front.

Want to guarantee a cloudy day? Go flying with Bobby! j/k of course, but it does seem filming day does bring out the weather. Love the Beechcraft's, and a friend has one of the last models of the Debonair, so have a fair bit of time in them. Although rather than a tail mount update, would go with more modern avionics in that one, but a great plane and pilot, and another great story.

The rest he mentioned: G: Gas/throttle, U: under carriage (means landing gear is on), M is mixture, P is propeller (adjusted if applicable).. .Great video..

Great story you told. I agree about the exhaust note on these. I had a LAME pilot call in the other day in a 1956 Vtail Bonanza with the O470 and dual exhaust and I loved the sound as he did a low pass overhead and taxied around my sheds. I have a 182 with the 0470 U and a single exhaust but it doesn’t have the note.

I love my Bonanza, it handles cross winds like a champ. One comment you should be holding full aileron into the wind as you are rolling out. I would have expected to land on the upwind main gear. I also always use full flaps but that is a personal preference. 1955 F35. Great job and your kids are little troopers hanging with dad on such a bumpy day.
