@Flaven80 you're kinda right. I've been cutting meat out the diet for curiosities sake and it's been difficult to make really tasty meals. Walnuts and feta cheese have been my friends. Chickpea curry ain't bad either. But I'm ruining our of ideas. Wednesday is our meat day were I go all out and I often ask my girlfriend whilst devouring Texas style BBQ, would you rather have this or that tuna and mixed bean salad which I call "Sad Food"? I hate bland food but my girlfriend is from Spain and is used to it.

Stay away from the chili powders. Try whole dried chilies. Toast them then add water or stock to the pan. Once softened, blend into a paste. You'll never go back to chili powder.
