Beef boss if you wanna win in this game you gotta learn few things: 1. When you're riding a bike you can do a wheelie by moving the wii remote up (Just watch out for other people to not hit you while performing the wheelie or you'll get stunned for a sec). This will give you more speed for a short period, but you're unable to turn when wheeling so try to wheelie in a straight section of the course. You can stop wheeling by moving the remote down. 2. You can hold items such as bananas, shells and fake itemboxes behind your vehicle by holding the left arrow button (tho 3 bananas and shells are hold automatically behind or around you.) 3. You can perform tricks by moving the wii remote any direction (left, right, up, down actually performs different kind of animations). This works on all ramps (even if they don't have turbo on the edge) and red mushrooms on Mushroom Gorge. 4. You can look behind you by holding the A button (Is actually very useful when you want to hit someone with an item from behind or just watch if anyone is nearby). 5. There are bikes which have inside drift which some if not all will find much easier to control when turning. With these tips you should do fine in the race and unlock more stuff by completing the Grand Prixes.

Here’s some tips I think you would like to know: Tricks- You need to do tricks. They’re a small thing but very helpful. All you do is flick your Wii remote towards you when your character goes up something like a slope or are in the air for a short time. (Like the mushrooms, small snow piles, or side wall blue speed boosters or the normal slopes with the booster) Holding Items- To hold an item behind you (like a shell or banana. Be careful with false mystery boxes) Press and hold on the D-Pad the entire time (it sucks but helps you greatly) or if you are doing automatic you can hit the back B button. I usually keep the item there for as long as I can and start to throw them behind me when I near the finish line on the last lap. -Storm Cloud What I do when I get these annoying things is just slam on my breaks and wait for a person to drive by me. I then try to drive into them, slam my breaks on again to avoid hitting them and continue on with my race. This is if you’re not near the finish line like you were on that beach level. If you’re near the finish line and get the cloud, just keep going. This is the same if you have a blue shell after you, or a red shell (anything that targets you). Just keep driving. If there’s nobody by you, sucks to suck. Just keep calm and try to get more items to get back to 1st place. I don’t think throwing yourself off the map really helps. You get the same results if you just take the hit from the storm cloud. I’ve never tried it myself so you can opinion this yourself. I hope these help you. It took me a while to finally get good at this game, knowing these tricks, short cuts and other ways to save time or my character really helps me get 1st place every time! I hope the same happens to you. Never give up and just keep playing, you’ll get better over time. It’s also important to keep clams. I usually listen to music when I play to help keep focused. I really hope you see this :(( Took me forever to write! I just love helping others with these type of things.

Wheelie goes much faster on straightaways. 2. Specifically, the Mach Bike and Flame Runner are the best bikes in the game. They have the highest speed stat. 3. The best characters and Funky Kong, Daisy, and Luigi. They all have an extra speed boost when you play as them, with Funky having the biggest. 4. Use inside drifting bikes and, if you have to, cars. They can take sharper turns. The Mach Bike and Flame Runner are inside drifters, but some others are the Wild Wing and the Bullet Bike (I think). 5. Use manual drift. You can take sharper turns with manual. 6. Vehicles with more weight will be bumped less. The Sugarscoot has very low weight, for example, so it will be bumped easily. That is all the tips I can think of, so if anybody sees this, you can use it to gain a major advantage.
