I made these today.....FABULOUS....I used boneless chuck roast, and I had to really guess about how much salt/pepper/turmeric/paprika/oil and apple cider vinegar...I did squirt a little lime juice in.....let marinate for several hrs...husband did a great job grilling except he did 't grill the tomatoes quiet long enough and he forgot to pull out the VODKA......thx so much for posting this,

Wear vinyl gloves (avoid Latex) to keep hands and fingers from turning yellow. Yep, preferably use saffron; OR dry-roast the turmeric powder in a frying pan on medium heat until it turns a slightly dark orange, BEFORE adding to the dry marinade mixture. Otherwise, your shashlik might end up bitter.

What on earth... This is the only way and I mean the only way to eat meat. Lamb is awesome this way. Cooking outside and eating outside is the absolutely the best way. Have a meatastic day my friend's.
