I hate to cook, but my guy asked me to cook up some beef short ribs, so I looked up a recipe for Instapot short ribs, and MAN, am I glad this was the first thing that came up. Didn’t have tomatoes in the garden yet, and I added canned jalapeños, and celery salt instead of celery, but IT WAS SO GOOD(!) and as easy as it could be :)

Excellent tip re: the deglaze -- got that error message "food burning" when making another recipe -- had no idea what the problem was...
@GabrielGrimesSozoLife3 жыл бұрын
Oh man. When it happened to me I didn't know how long it had been cooking or how long I had left to cook it. lol it took an hour of rubbing the bottom of the liner with a wooden spoon to get to the fond off and then reassuring it for 5 minute sections until it was fully done. I feel your pain.
@Dbunkr553 жыл бұрын
@@GabrielGrimesSozoLife Yes -- same. Thought the Insta Pot was malfunctioning...lol. Cant wait to try this recipe -- looks amazing!
@Vasharan3 жыл бұрын
Tip on deglazing: use a small amount of liquid. if the surface is hot enough to make your deglazing liquid bubble, it is a lot easier to dissolve and soak up all the fond. You can add the rest of the liquid after. I like using white or red wine to deglaze. The alcohol and the low boiling point make it a really good deglazing medium; at least, that's my theory. I apply the same principle when using Chinese cooking wine in a wok.
