It's nice to see you working the cub. We have several farmalls and enjoy getting seat time on them when we can. Thanks for the video.

Never underestimate the power of a Cub. The first tractor I ever drove and used was Grandpa's 1955 Cub.

Thanks! Yes I wish I had stories with this old tractor, I’m sure it has a bunch! It’s always a pleasure to run an old piece of equipment, makes ya appreciate the newer stuff on something’s but also makes you realize how certain things are skimped on now a days! I appreciate ya watching, take care!

That cub is a great machine. I know its much easier to get on your new tractors with power steering and hydrostatic transmissions but its nice you have the ole cub in your arsenal and we love watching you work it. Your so right, we can't even imagine how much work these old ageless irons have done. It looks to be in perfect condition too.

Thanks Dean! Your right, the convenience of the new stuff is great but the simplicity of this ol girl is amazing! I love the hand crank start :) I wouldn’t ever change it! Thanks for watching buddy, have a great New Year!!

My Dad had an old Speed ex tractor they were made in Ravenna, Ohio. I drive by that old factory at least where it was . I guess back in the day you could buy your tractor right at the factory. My parents also had goats my older brothers and sisters were in 4H but we moved before I was old enough for that. It was pretty cool watching your goats all waiting for their feed though. Those things can be rotten and mischievous little devils at times but they're cute.

what model was it? i have a 39 Model B (Hand start) it has kicked back once or twice but nothing serious, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. At least your brothers injuries weren't worse, i've heard people got hit in the head and died from it.

Dave, do you run e free gas? Today's pump gas is garbage and very hard on older equipment
@OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm3 жыл бұрын
I do in my saws and such but not in my bigger equipment, I do however add some 40:1 mixed gas to each fill to help with lubrication. I wish ethanol was never added to fuel 🤨 haha. Thanks for watching, take care!
@a.l.l.firewood88833 жыл бұрын
Ohio Hill Tops Hobby Farm it's not the lubrication that is the problem, ethanol attracts moisture and in turn gums everything up, I know e free is expensive but it might save you some hassle down the road. Another great option is avgas LL100 if you have a local small airport
