Ok my courses are unintentially getting more difficult wich is... concerning xD. I made the last trick tough on purpose, not expecting the lead up to it to be that difficult as well. So sorry about that, I will take this in to account for my future courses. Also small side-note, I already have my Fox course done but I think I have to rework that one considering it is MUCH tougher than even this Samus course xD.

You dont have to worry about it too much, they SHOULD be challenging. Our lack of samus knowledge also put us at a disadvantage here. It might look completely different with other characters (and we both play Fox).

(also, the way there are multiple solutions to a difficult obstacle is cool, makes them experiment and find their own way) (also also, make them believe there will be a "shield break" jump again, it's comedy gold at this point)

IDR if this applies to SSBU, but in SSB4, tethers were VERY janky and you could fling yourself pretty high into the air on the other side of the ledge if the tether was long enough and you pressed up at the right time, I made a ZSS obstacle course in SSB4 around that concept but it could be done with other tethers too. Main thing is, longer tether = more jank, so you mostly trying short and medium tethers hurt my soul. I think (if SSB4 physics are even remotely close to carried over in this regard) long tether could make it directly with up b, no down b or walljump required. _Potentially_ even just a directional airdodge if jank physics are fully applied, so not even a single special needed there.

All the way up until the part right before the zair swing (where vyq dodge rolled through to) can actually be done with just bomb jumping, into up special. Even the very first obstacle can be skipped. Go into the portal move to the right just a little bit to get slightly higher positioning and bomb jump a couple times and then up special to get above. The same thing can be done again to get up again. At the very least when I did the obstacle course myself that worked, it's very consistent too once you get the timing for bomb jumps down. Don't feel too bad about getting stuck on the final part for a while I've got 500 hours on Samus alone and I still struggled for a decent amount of time on that one

Not at all. The Z told them that there was a tetherable ledge behind the bumper, so they needed to use zair. Without it, they would have been slower, if anything.

I don't quite understand why you 2 had so much trouble with the bomb jump into screw attack. It was very, extremely clear that you weren't even doing screw attack anywhere near the apex of a bomb jump because you guys pretty much did it from the floor every time until you finally got it. Please never play an actual Metroid game.
