I think part of the problem with the first Shiek trick is the layout. If there was only one ledge of lava, it would lead the player to actually think “why is there a single platform area of lava.”

@@Flapjack3734 red herrings are generally bad puzzle design. Instead of asking the solver "how would you solve this puzzle", the question becomes "what is the puzzle" Basically, puzzles are more fun to solve when you're not the one that is creating them.

I kind of like that the Captain Falcon one was quick and easy. Made it more of a speedrun competition between you, which is pretty appropriate for him.

I really liked the Captain Falcon one. Sure it's not super complex, but that means it's just about figuring out the few tricks quickly and then doing it as fast as possible. Which is really fitting for a racer such as C. Falcon and a really nice change of pace if you compete against someone to see who is faster.

That Young Link challenge is really only good because of the tether grab at the end. There were ledges anywhere, they weren't even disabled 🤦‍♂️🗿

You would need ledges because you needed to zair at some points which requires them.

Embarrassingly there's a high chance im older than you. MG anti cheese wasn't strong enough. All the ledges were there for the tether. I tried 😂 but happy it was beaten

That sheik stage was a super cool premise for a puzzle level. I think it would've been cool if, after realizing you needed a grenade, you had to go all the way back to reuse the original bumper like how cFive realized you could do early on. The invisible up b trick to refresh double jump is cool af and ngl I did not think of that at all which gives me hope for other creative puzzle levels that use niche tricks like that

@@8CanadianBacon9 that narrow pathway to the lever could’ve been needles and they brainfarted on it, but what do you do for that last trick to get up to the platform lever?

Needles won’t work there because Sheik shoots needles diagonal down from the air. The last part has more than one option. I just threw it in because I could. 1. Ledge jump, double jump, up special 2. Run under the lava (you don’t need to crawl) and grab the same grenade you threw the first time.

Sheik stage rules: "Can't touch lava" Solution: Requires you to touch the lava (while invincible)

The rule I sent them was not to get hit by lava. Not sure why they used the word “touch,” but I think they understood what it meant.

Nope, because Sheik only throws needles horizontally when on the ground. In the air she throws them diagonally downwards.
