How do all the bees that were in the 4 supers fit into only 2 deeps??

They fit.lol..they might be tight, and will beard on hot days, but they rarely will swarm as they aren't raising a lot of brood, aren't bringing in much pollen/nectar so there isn't congestion in the hive.
