Loved the video! Plastic wrap is a great idea. One suggestion--wear gloves when lifting hive by bottom board. In my area black widow spiders love nesting on the under side of bottom boards.

That's good to know David if I need to move a hive. I like your idea of placing a catch hive for any wandering foragers.! Great content. Excellent video thank you!

David please is the demeanor of a queen bee responsible for a hot frisky hive and can changing out a queen for another one help to relaxe and calm the hive to become nicer

The queen can carry genetics that will make her offspring more defensive so by replacing the queen, after 45 days or so the new queen's offspring will have mostly replaced the older bees from the older queen you replaced. The inside of the plastic wrap is " stickyer " it is more Electrostaticly charged than the outside Flip the roll over / around so that you are pulling the inside of the roll into the object being wrapped Try it . I wrapped machinery for export for ten years .
@boboften9952 Жыл бұрын
Five , six ..... etc machines a day , five days a week , for ten years Electrostatic Charge Try it . Edit Re watch your footage " this is the reason that you have to place your hand on to the plastic wrap , to make it adhere " Cut the plastic with any sharp object Eg keys , knife , a shell , sharp stick ... " your trying to make a straight edge on the plastic " It makes the next start easier Then the next start up becomes Electrostaticly peel and stick it to the object to start . Oh that part works well . Literally peel from the roll , slap it to stick and walk around the object . Try it . It seems funny but the Electrostaticly charged plastic to the inside of the wrap is what your after , to take advantage of it . Thanks for reading " if I couldn't wrap something within fourty five seconds , there was something wrong "

May I request a video on your recommendations for us Beekeepers in Texas regulating against Aficanized bees. Yes, they make lots of honey .. and fast. But I am encouraged not to allow queen rearage or hive splitting due to the possibility of mating with the extremely Hot Africanized strain. This is an added responsibility for the Texas Beekeeper. Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated. 😊
