It is a great way for a homesteader or any home owner to get honey or even support their garden with pollinators. This is a Top Bar hive, but these principles are also universal. Hi lam new to bee keeping my name is Keith I live in Australia I am 70 and have low vision I have built 2 top bar hives 1 I have put a swarm in it seems to be going well I am open to any advice that could help me cheers keith

I guess there’s to bits of advice. 1. Study up on how to prevent a swarm. You’ll be doing that next year. 2. Be patient, it may be one or two years before you get a harvest. Let them settle in and get strong. Congrats on getting started, it is a fun hobby!
