Hello from northern California. I was worried about my bees being too cold, but seeing your robust hives thriving in the bitter cold takes my worries away. The weather here has been clear, with lows in the upper 30's, highs in the low 60's 😂. Time to stop being a worrywart.

Scotland location. I built an insulation base, added a 20mm wood fibre breathable insulated board above crown board. Ply wood three sided & roof covering house with air gap all around, just to protect from frost, snow but mainly rain and wind.

GREAT video David! Checked on my hives today but I didn't open them up - too much snow 25 inches. Did check and cleared the openings. Expecting more snow - up to another 12 inches by Sunday. HAVE A GREAT DAY 👍

I recommend if they're weak. I've used them without issue

I used to tar paper my hives in the winter when I lived in Canada. Now I live in Arizona. No more tar paper. 😂
