absolutely love it. the included air mouse isn't as good as my old standby T3 Air mouse, so i switched to that. I switched to Nova launcher and may even do a custom firmware to go to a non-TV android build, but I'm fine with it as is too. Performance is beastly, sound is great, and it does what I want it to, and very well.

Got mine two days ago. so, so solid. I don;t use Netflix or Amazon for TV..I just stream my own stuff internally, use 4K youtube and Kodi, and VNC to manage my PC's. It does everything beautifully.

I got the GT King for Xmas from my wife. Love it! Chose it to replace 4K FS cos of Ethernet speed. Now get what I pay for (250Mbps) rather than 75-90 Mbps with FS. However, I still lose more than 50% speed when IPVanish is connected 😟

Peter Okorn You’re right, still v good speed. The 75-90? That was WiFi on the Firestick. I originally connected to LAN, using Amazon adapter, thinking it was best, but I found out the adapter is limited to max of 100mb, but using the extender cable that comes with it is faster.

I was using the infamous express vpn that slowed my speeds to a crawl also. I got a refund from them and now im trying out surfshark and so far their speeds are better. Like double what express was giving me. They offer the lower encryption and shadow socks protocol. The only thing I don't like is my connection keeps dropping and I don't know if its my firestick or my vpn.

if you have to have 4k netflix or amazon go for the shield or a used dell i5. Great Emulation is a bonus for both platforms, but you can get better with a budget PC for cheaper than both. In comparison, this is slightly less powerful than the shield, handles 4k streamed video locally and from youtube, and on;ly costs $129. Costs vs. features - depends on what you have to have.

Why would you remove the mouse function on an android box that has two usb ports and relys on one of these ports to run the main remote control?? If you purchase an airmouse then that's the second usb port taken up.

The beelink is most powerful box ive ever seen , its smooth, fast and works like a treat, id think all of the boxes are limited on gaming potential due to ram, graphics etc, but all depends on what u wish to play. Id think the shield or beelink be as good as u can get.

I got this box on 11.11 @ aliexpress for £90. Shop around if you want one. Its a really good box and I'm glad I got this over the shield which I considered. The shield seemed too expensive for what you get. You definitely get more for your money with this. Ive had no issues at all with this box apart from the mouse pointer could be a bit more accurate.

Yes it is better than the Shield as far as sideloading. Nvidia Shield has made it so hard not worth it anymore. So a Full OS Android Box it only way to go and this is the best of them.

I just don't understand why you would pay that much for the Beelink, when the Nvidia Shield is a MUCH better box, and is 4K. For that Matter the Xiaomi Mi Box S is a all around better box, which is also 4K, and costs around $60 USD.

Yeh I gotta agree, I've had SO many android boxes (and I own this Beelink) but my 2015 Nvidia Shield is still just a great experience, much more fluid & fast. Gaming wise, if that's your thing the shield is brilliant (Altho I bought a 2017 controller, 2015 version sucks) & you get access to Nvidia Shield game streaming. Official Netflix without any messing. I'm certainly not the "fan boy" type (too old for that crap) but seriously Nvidia Shield IS an amazing device. Even buying a used 2015 you wouldn't be disappointed. The Beelink is a good little box (we have it in the kids room) but WAY over priced for what it is tbh

@ Free Tech L/R could mean Left/Right Channel - seems that this is just for Audio. On other Boxes there is written A/V which could mean Audio/Video... i think it should be testet,if this is just working for Sound or if there comes out a picture,too. I have this box and was driving me mental. I had it connected with hdmi cable to a Sony A/V receiver alongside with a Sony TV. This damn thing was taking over the entire system. It was turning my TV on in the middle of the night and the only way we could watch the TV was if I unplugged this little wanker. Otherwise the receiver was switching back to the port this beewax plugged into! :-))

It's not the BEELINE its the sony electronic products they do that i have Chromecast plugged into my sony t.v. and it would come on in the middle of the night lighting up my bedroom and i said what the heck so i unplug my Chromecast at night to get some good sleep and it works hope that helps

I bought a GT King and when I connected it up like my old T95 MAX box, all I got was a Red and Black menu. I couldn't seem to get to the Home Screen at all. I sent it back and got a refund. I then bought a Beelink GT King Pro. Exactly the same Red and Black menu. Every review that I've seen including this one has a light blue Home Screen with a Clock, Browser, Apps etc. What am I doing wrong?

I'm having so many issues with the Bluetooth connections to this box, I send the sound through BT to my amp and this is by far the worst experience with a box I have ever had to deal with. UI sucks, I`m very happy with the speed however, no box comes close to this one in performance. also having to start the box by pressing the power button at the back is a bit dumb, I hid my projector in the ceiling and was going for a no cable look but now the box has to dangle from the ceiling so that I can at least switch it on.. any workaround for starting the box by pressing the power button on the remote??

138$ for a box not made by nvidia, how are you recommending this? I'd try to find older versions of the shield before they updated to this years model. I have a 2015 pro and a 2016 regular shield and they both are better than this, and I got the regular for 150 with a 50 dollar controller. Who wants all their streaming apps to be in 480?

Hi Jonathan. There's a difference between recommending and reviewing. the box has high specs and handled everything. But as said in the video i'm not keen on the UI and no HD Netflix or prime. A review is to show the box to viewers so they can see if it's for them and my opinion. ps. the only streaming apps in lower res are Netflix and Prime Video.

My point is the shield is obviously the best, but it is most expensive too, so I get people buying cheaper boxes. It's just dumb to buy a cheap chinese box to save 12 dollars once you are already spending 138 dollars, that's just dumb. Buy a 50 dollar mecool or tanix box but once you are already spending 138 dollars for a box, just spend 12 dollars more to get the best box that will get updates for years to come.

@@Old_School69 The MeCool boxes use cloned Certificates for their Android TV OS. So you will find the more Android TV updates the less support mecool will have. I totally understand and I agree the shield is the daddy of boxes. I said if you're looking to upgrade from the GT King I wouldn't but buying a GT King model I would go this over the older version. The box does run great and plays everything better than I personally expected. I just don't like the layout and the fact it may not support updates.

I bought one from gearbest. Took over three months to ship due to high demand. When I finally received the box it looked used. Plugged everything up and noticed they forgot to include the USB receiver for the air mouse remote. Made using the box very difficult, still had the IR function. And I noticed there were apps and files installed on there from the previous owner, so indeed it was used. I guess they forgot to take it off. Anyway, I did a factory reset and now any wireless or Bluetooth mouse I use is so laggy it makes it unusable. So I definitely don't recommend buying from gearbest.

It is NOT an "Android TV Box" which the Shield is. I am looking for a box that actually runs the "Android TV" software with UP TO DATE specs for a REASONABLE PRICE...appears to be a unicorn. I was hoping this was the answer but not the case. I have a couple Android boxes but wanted to try Android TV OS.

It's a really great box, probably the best box under the Shield. But I would never spend 140 bucks for a box without any support and warranty. This is unfortunately the serious problem of these Chinese products.

hi thanks for your latest video i liked it very much but you did not go in to detail about the wifi signal i would like to no how yours was because i have bought one over a month ago and my wifi was crap on my box i have a phone and ipad and on both of them the signal was 100 speed on virgin checked the box and it was showing 0-5speed got on to gearbest and they did not won’t to know i am still in discussion with them but it is like getting blood out of a stone would like you to get back in touch with me if possible keep up the good work you are doing.many thanks john

Hi John. I stopped with speed tests as obviously everybody's signal strength, limit etc is different. Mine also seems to be temperamental so isn't the most accurate. But I will be sure to start adding the tests again bud.
