It's definitely a solid mini pc. TBH we wanted to say more regarding the video outputs, HDMI 2.1, as it's a rarity with these mini pcs. Unfortunately we didn't have a HDMI 2.1 monitor to try it on Display Port 1.4 gave us 144hz @ UWQHD btw 😁

My mini was delivered yesterday, and so far so good, the thing is a emulation power house. I got a great deal on the 16GB RAM version, planning on upgrading to 32 GB in month or 2. I am having that same overheating issue with the Xbox emulator, does anyone knows what particular setting he changed to resolve the issue so quick? Great video, the price + your review helped me make the decision to purchase, thanks...

Man, I have to give an update on what a great value this mini PC 🖥 is. I currently have 12 emulators installed, all running ok to great. Between the AMD adrenaline software and X86 Tuning Utility tool. I am able to create custom GPU and power settings, depending on what particular emulator or specific game I'm running. I really think a RAM & storage upgrade will eventually become necessary. Good thing a local PC shop is having a holiday sale on a Silicon Power 32GB DDR5 / 1Tb M.2 SSD combo. 😊. I know I'm rambling, but again, thanks for the no BS review. It's one of the main reasons I ended up with this Kool little piece of tech😊😊👍🏾

Oh, nice! 👍 Great to hear of your positive experience, especially regarding the Ryzen software. It's not too hard to work out, but the results can be pretty impressive. Especially the upscaling to 4k from 720p 😲 Yeah, these Ryzen mini computers are definitely head over heels far better than the crap which was sold at places like pc world in the 90s for 3* the price. A little knowledge can save you and your friends a bit of cash, and we know the used market exists, but really? 😂

@@kameronbailey4710 if they sent one, sure 😂 It looks to be a very similar case design to the EQ13 we reviewed earlier. So it's going to be a super quiet mini pc holding a 7735hs/6900hx. That unit should be similar in performance to this ser6 max. The 6600H variant will be lower spec, the budget option. Go for the higher ups if you plan on gaming tbh.

Can you make a video on how to update bios without briking gmktech k8?

@@TeamPandory TY. I downloaded the latest 1.07 but read on many forums that upgrading bricked the PC even their support said if you did it wrong it will brick and it's quite difficult as there is no proper doc and the one that exists shows the wrong files.
@TeamPandory4 ай бұрын
@@faizannabi7540 Yes, BIOS updates can be dangerous for ANY computer, but there are a few things we can do to prevent bricking the system. 1. Run the mini pc at DEFAULT settings in bios- turn off any form of overclocking, as this can lead to instability 2. Disable overclocking apps / anti-virus / anything that can get in the way of the flashing in Windows. 3. Use decent memory / NVME storage. Again, having poor memory will cause instability. Then there are the fake spaced NVME drives (usually look like a Samsung, but are 4tb for 50$ or something ridiculous), which may cause a brick due to data corruption. We've updated the bios multiple times now on various GMKTEC boards, and if you follow the above safeguards, it should protect you from it bricking. There is a new update for the K6, we'll see if we can make an easy to follow bios update video soon.

@@faizannabi7540 another thing to state, is that as they are a fairly small company, one person having problems can cause a wave of hysteria, especially if they cherry picked data to push their narrative. I was able to pick one up on Amazon for about 400 Euros (including a 100 Euro coupon) with 16 GB RAM (Crucial DDR5 4800 2 x 8 GB). I ran into an issue with VRAM being disabled in the pre-installed W11 Pro build what you also need to check after doing a reset of the PC (did a reset of Windows 11 Pro and still the VRAM was disabled), otherwise a great little Mini-PC. It is also worth mentioning, that Beelink includes the 2nd NVME screw (as seen in the video). The system can also do 8K video out and the USB-C at the back is Video out capable and also can be used to power the system using a 100+ Watt PD charger. The mini PC can drive 3 monitors (the front USB-C port is only for data). You do not need to remove the two screws on the heatsink and Beelink also has even created a video how to open the little Mini-PC 🙂 that can be found here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4Owm3tvZ5aZmcksi=Huk5-JSdKI5udO26

Just because it reports as 0, it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. As it shares the VRAM with the memory, the way it reports the amount is probably to blame. In this case, the VRAM is more likely set as "auto" in the bios, which lowers/highers the size when needed. To alter, go into the bios, then change the settings from there, not from Windows itself.

@TeamPandory4 ай бұрын
1. Yes, the case is plastic. Is this a problem? 2. It has 1 USB2.0, but these are useful as USB 2 does not need any drivers at all from the OS to run. They keep one for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Can someone please explain the difference between a mini pc and a normal tower pc? Because from what I understand unless you wanna play hardcore video games a mini pc is already pretty powerful for day to day use to CAD programs.
@TeamPandory3 ай бұрын
A mini pc is that, a mini pc. A tiny box with an integrated CPU and graphics, much like a laptop would. Usual drawbacks are GPU performance, thermal issues, or upgradeability. - On a Mini PC you'd be buying it as is, with maybe a chance to use an external GPU if the ports are available. A tower PC (with standard motherboard) will be much easier to repair, cool, and upgrade when needed. However, as they are pretty much custom built, the costs can come out to be much higher than a mini pc. A case and PSU alone already comes to around 200$.

495 Dollars? That will take me around 5 months or 6 to get that. If I don't use my money for food as you see I make 120 USD a month. That's it. So, cheap? For who?

Cheap for anyone who’s not in debt and has more income than what they rely on per month. At least in the US 180 a day is more likely.
