Beelink is a value for money brand. I bought Beelink Mini S with Intel 5095 Jasper with 16gb RAM and 256 GB SSD for $160 last year to replace my 12 years old laptop with 3rd gen I3 8GB ram which I paid $500. The laptop still worked fine but about 3 times slower than Mini S due to less RAM and only DDR2 RAM while Beelink has DDR 4. 3rd gen i3 is also slower in computing and rendering graphic. It's a fact that PC, smartphone is getting cheaper while performance is getting better. However, you buy when you need at the time.

Yes, running your PL1 at 30 watts adds extra byte on CPU limited apps. Another sited shows the before and after game benches with temps. This $150 sleeper nipping at the N100, not seen if those can be bumped up. I use mine as a simple music/movie server with attached drives in the cave. The Intel HD audio codec’s still have best legacy HDMI audio support over my Ryzen gaming hardware. DJI Air 2S high bitrate video, NO issues at 30 fps in 5.4K, 60 fps in 4K and 120 fps in HD. Its maximum video bitrate is 150 Mbps in H.264 and H.265 codecs. This little box is quite and cool running at 30 watts, you can bang 90C with no complaints from mine so back off to 25 watts if your nervous. I love the extra zip in normal non game stuff!

I wouldn't bother replacing the SSD. Keep that in so you can boot up Windows when you need to. Add an internal 2.5" SSD or HDD, or even use a USB drive for the least messy solution.

This was a nice little unit..for the 2 months it functioned. It's now hung on the bios screen entry when booting. f7 or delete, too bad neither of those do anything. Pull power hold cmos reset in? check..zip...Unplug ssd reseat..check..nothin. Remove ram, reinstall ram, 1 stick at a time? Check..nothing. What we have here...Is a brick...Just an FYI , you can buy a reconditioned HP 800 g4 mini with a hexacore i5 for about the same...One of them works after 2 months...

Ram, one stick at a time? Must be another unit because the intel n95 / n100 boards only support a single RAM chip. Saying that, it sounds like your SSD needs replacing/ reinstalling. Reach out to beelink perhaps?

I bought the s12 "pro" for $165. The price is weirdly low for coming with N100 CPU, 16gb DDR4, and 500gb SSD. I did not expect much but i'm shocked by how capable this little thing is. I've been using it as my main computer that last two weeks just seeing how much I can do on it. Strongly recommend the N100 model. Only issue I've encountered is an unwillingness to boot from USB, which seems to be an issue others had as well. I haven't looked into it yet but thought I'd throw it out there.

Hey there, glad you're enjoying it. It's amazing to think that so little money can get such a system. I think the price of windows 11 alone in some places equals the best part of 100$, too. You may need to turn off secure boot in the bios. It definitely does boot from bios as we've been managing it, but we will need to wait for an update to have those new intel WiFi / Bluetooth drivers included.

This is a bit more like it from Intel. Finally they incorporate AV1 hardware decoding way later than they should have and for the first time in a long time, the price is good and easily makes it competitive with ARM based SBC's. $160 allows it to be a relatively easy purchase. The lower pricing is likely due to Intel facing a very bleak future, bought about by their own greed. Single channel RAM is a veritable crime though and Beelink should know better.

The single channel limitation is from the N95 chip... so it's Intel's crime, not Beelink's. Intel purposefully hobbled all Alder Lake N series processors to differentiate between the more expensive parts (so even the N305, which has double the number of E cores (8) as the N95/N100 (4) is hobbled by single channel RAM). If you want dual-channel RAM in a 12th gen Intel mini-pc, you have to go up to the i5-1240P (or i7-1260P). As @nokialumia6267 pointed out, the older (11th Gen) N5095/N5105 in the Beelilnk U59 do support dual-channel memory. However, that is dual-channel DDR4, where the newer 12th gen chips we are talking about actually support DDR5 RAM (there are Beelink products, like the EQ12 using DDR5), so there is a trade off... do you want the newer, faster processor with PCIe3 NVME drives, and single-channel DDR5, or the older 11th gen processor with slower SATA SSDs and dual-channel DDR4?

Tbh it should be fine. The CPU is as good as an older i5, the only place where you may have issues is with the later 3d games. I'd probably have a look at a mini pc with the slightly quicker n100 processor. There's a chance that they're on the market for cheaper.

My experience: I did not try emulating but the graphics in Win 11 left much to be desired. I sent it back and bought a rysen 5 with much better graphics. The Intel version has poor graphics. The AMD has vastly better graphics.

This is true - I have a Ryzen mini pc with a 7735hs/680m in it, and it kicks ass, and can run modern windows games at high fps. On the other hand, that box cost $600, and this costs $130. Even the beelink mini PCs with a 5500u/Vega 7 costs about twice what this thing does. In short, if 3d graphics performance matters, yeah, you need to spend a bit more for an AMD. But if you’re mostly wanting to emulate MAME and consoles older than PS1, or just need a basic “browse and email” PC, you can save some pennies and get this.

If Sims 4 is your use case I think I’d spend a little more and try to get a slightly better cpu (and more importantly a better graphics chip). A ryzen 5 with Vega won’t cost that much more but will play something like sims a lot better.

I've had things turn out to be wrong items on Amazon before- the main thing you need to do is order from a shop that looks legit, check the date the shop was made, the reviews, and record a video of you opening the package as evidence if you get a wrong item or it's faulty. - it you have that you can get a refund.

for cons why didnt you mention only one ram slot thats obviously single channel.......how did you miss that as a con?......do you even know anything about computers?

We could add that it doesn't have a geforce video card, 8 cores, and can't run (enter AAA game), but for the price and the market it's going for, the absence of dual channel can be overlooked.

@@TeamPandory Its connected to my tv, mainly for emulation,downloading,browsing. And in some aspects i feel the J4125 is pushing its very limit. I dont know about the N95 if that would be a good jump boost and if its worth upgrading it for 180 euros

@@Lemmelleni Well I can tell you for certain that it's definitely a good jump from the j4125. I got this for 150, but saying that, the N100 is at 195 with more memory and double SSD space... Total deal.

@@TeamPandory Probably gonna get it, do you think its wise to move my windows installation to my 2.5inch ssd instead of the onboard one? Will that see any performance improvement?
