Sir, please comment logically. A laptop in 1988 was more expensive than a desktop. It cost Rs.3 lakhs then . Add 30% duty to it. Makes no sense at all to buy a laptop to type movie script. In those days you could buy a movie rights for a territory for that price.

@@zatakone That's true but still makes no sense. Because, the price of a laptop in 1980 was Rs. 3 lakhs. To import it you need to pay duty of Rs. 1 lakh. With Rs. 4 lakhs, you can buy a Kannada movie territory rights. Or, Shankar Nag could have bought good electronic equipment for his Sanket recording studio. If he indeed bought a laptop then, it makes no sense but shows stupidity.
