If youre on the receiving end, it doesnt matter what fired the amraam, an F22, or a Cessna. We have all the boxed ticked: - Speed - Missiles - Radar - RWR - Enough fuel for endurance - Enough missiles for endurance The fact it doesn't turn on a dime (almost) doesn't matter in a BVR environment. In the old meta, yes, that plane would have been DOA. In the new one, it does just fine. It's not dogsh1t at all. Or in other words: The fact that this plane plays on team red probably has more influence on it than the lack of good turn time

Good turn time matters very much,after defending the one who recommits faster will aways have the advantage,F4 doesnt have not even near the capacity of doing it with efficiency as anything at its br,it wont be able to get higher or faster meaning very low parameters for attack and having less ARHs than everything it fights losing shots due to horrible parameter means a death sentence since you wont outrun anything either even less win in a merge...

It's an F4 Phantom...every other single AMRAAM carrier is better at it because of the flight performance and the fact that they can carry more. The F-15C, F-16C, and the Gripen are better in every single possibly measurable way. And yes...what fired the AMRAAM actually does matter...a Cessna is not going to get to high altitude or supersonic speeds at all which will significantly reduce the range of the missile. In the same way that the F4F cannot get to altitude nearly as quickly as an F-16C or F-15C...so in any kind of actual fight that isn't against lobotomized players...the F4F ICE just loses. If it gets pushed by any of these planes it doesn't have the ability to quickly turn around and counter launch.

"ability to quickly turn around" You would turn around into an amraam? That highly depends, if the thing is already active I wouldnt do that anyway, not even in an F16 or Gripen. If its NOT already active, and depending on range, it still might be possible but isn't my cup of tea still. My main point again: The f4 is *good enough* while not being at the absolute top of everything.

​@@squishface80085 Not a single word to my wall of arguments except a question? Like, in a normal conversation you'd answer to point A B and C with your counter arguments D E and F. After that, we can talk about what I play, how I play it and give past examples of how I made un-meta planes work before. I'll try to explain in more simple terms: You can take the plane out of the equasion for a second. You're sitting in a pixelmash with some sliders attached. In the past, the slider "turny-wurny" was of maximum importance because of the missile flinging on the deck meta. Hence, things like the Gripen were doing so well. But now, Post patch, it is reduced to 10% importance, because you never get to the merge in the first place. You need altitude. You need speed. You need good missiles. You need to have a good RWR. Turny-wurny is not important and only gets you out of situations you're not *supposed to be in* in a plane like the F4 KWS. Get that old style "but that other plane has 2 seconds less turn time!" out of your head. You can give me a 104 with 120s, a good RWR and and its suitable enough for BVR (again, thats the only style of combat Im talking about if that isnt clear). Or, for the giggles, load up an F15 with max fuel + max fuel tanks, and all of the missiles so it turns as bad as a planet, then go to 15.000m and lob amraams. Like, whats so hard to understand? Thats exactly what you've been criticising isn't it? That "point and click"? And yes, you can definitely "point and click" in a brick because you don't need to apply any other tactic. As long as youve got the SA, the altitude and the speed, you missiles will find the target without your help. Thats all there is to say really.
