I personally would love to see the blogs such as you made about ghosts and stories by the local people from your Himachal trip. Bring such stories some time. Btw thank you for your podcast we get to know such different topics from different experts.

TATAs help every discipline equally. I am a linguist and have been working day and night on Indian languages for the last 12 years; the only place I got funding from was the TATA foundation. They truly, and I really mean it, they truly care about the progress of India in every way possible.

You all only listen to 'experts' and shun anyone who is willing to go out and seek knowledge on their own. You need a western degree against someone's name to consider them credible....in your ancient past, those who went seeking knowledge and truth were respected and given a hearing. The Brits really did a number on your culture. So well done that even after a century of them being gone, you still follow their ways!

American here. Great podcast interview. Wish you would have went deeper on the history of India, which is why I’m watching. We westerners need to learn more about the history of India, of which I believed flourished as an advanced civilization deep into the last ice ago. The 12,000 disaster cycle of earth seems to spare India (and probably the Middle East and central and South America. We’ve been through many of these cycles, but the younger dryas impact that cause massive water surge events- great flood- of melting the North American ice sheet almost wiped us out. Most knowledge was lost. India has the most evidence of our missing past. Please keep talking about India’s hidden history in English so us westerners can hear about it. Thanks! ❤

She had to go to Oxford to study Sanskrit! Look at the irony...we don’t hv it here. Thx to the foolishness of the aam aadmi in India who does not hv any idea of his own culture. Btw she is so patriotic and passionate abt her work, lucky she has found a work she loves. God bless.

True, yet there’s a high a chance the original comment poster doesn’t know any Sanskrit herself. And if she does, I hope she’s distributing the knowledge and making it accessible. Otherwise it’s the same old blame game we are popular for

This turned up on my timeline, guess recommended by KZbin algorithms. Must say, an excellent episode. Kept my attention the entire time and kept me wanting more. Doesn’t hurt either that Ranveer is cute to the boot and Anica is such an enigmatic person. As Ranveer said there’s so much more to unpack. Would love for her to be back. One episode has convinced me to subscribe.

I was visiting India for 6 months, as soon as I landed I was on some mystical journey.. The temples impress me so, I can feel the vibrations really well, better than any place. It almost feel like I have a very deep connection to this place. Nothing scares me about some of the stranger imagery there, but Christian imagery have upset me and made me frightened from childhood, filled me with an ice cold fear, and a sense of injustice.. From I was like 3 years old. I was so into strange spiritual practices picked out of Viking myths, which my christian mother did not like. She stopped me with a bucket of blood once, going to my special rock by a stream.

Western institutions like Oxford are the culprits in concealing out past greatness. Why are western universities the “experts” in South Asian studies. Our universities need to be the experts. Same as Egypt, why is a white woman the expert in Egyptology.
