Hey Raj, I liked the topic and talk but some observations for you that you may consider (I am not sure you would even see it though). 1) You are passionate about the topic but for every topic you would be the same. However, the guest has dedicated his/her life to it and has many more things to share. Letting guest speak, shows humility of the host. 2) If you or anyone wants to learn, one needs to control the urge to speak. Hearing triggers observation that would lead to insights. 3) Raj, the Host is speaking a lot but merely quoting observations but the Guest is speaking less but is telling insights and that comes out of experience 4) The microphone volume of Raj is one notch higher than the Guest. Perhaps the guest is not used to the set up, giving a benefit of doubt to the Host. But then the Host must know this and tune up the Guest's mic a notch higher. 5) Directing a discussion is good to control the spillover but arguing is disrespectful. Anyways, it is Raj Shamani's show you are free to do what you want. I am just sharing what put me off from other similar podcasts

I really believe that listening to someone explaining something in an interesting way using real life examples will always inherit in your brain rather than reading it. hence, I watch every podcast of yours within the hour of its release. just love your work. I would also love it if you bring a chartered actuary or an actuarial science professional. since it is not a largely known field and has a huge potential. would love to listen to an actuary as I myself am pursuing actuarial science currently.

😀👍 Wow, what an experience listening to this podcast!!! I have been a marketing professional for almost 45 yrs and I have learnt a few new things, refreshed a lot of things and enjoyed this video thoroughly!!! Dr. Sanjay very rightly said that what the "road" teaches you in marketing, no "MBA Course" can teach in classroom. I understand this deeply as I'm also a MBA (Marketing) from 1981 batch. And last, but not the least, I'm a Very "proud owner" of "TATA Nano" 2017 model!!!😇 Unfortunately, in our country, a car is more a "status symbol" and less a a utility or a convenience. Now, people are realizing the value of TATA Nano, but unfortunately it's out of production now.😢

One major blunder that I remember from my childhood was when Maggi changed their classic yellow packet noodles masala flavour and marketed "New & Improved" - The flavour was so bad that almost instantly everyone started hating it, naturally their sales went down and they realised the blunder and corrected it by going back to the original flavour. There was a huge TV campaign that the old flavour was back and every packet had "Your favourite is back" written on them. This was way back in late 90s or early 2000s.

Dr Sanjay was great & I really liked what he said about our edu institutions. Today everything has changed, even in the work environment. We don't get to learn the basics (from an accountant pov) very easily. Unless one has the background like any relative/friend circle is in the same career. We really don't have an option to choose like today I.T., engineering, etc. but I saw a short video of German education system which was very different. Or to choose from other professions like sports, music, arts, politics, wildlife biologists, anthropologists, agronomists etc. I believe we should build in the area of sports & agriculture and bring a more value based education system. After this podcast I realised how bored I used to feel during my school & college days. Thanks Raj Shamani. Please invite such guest, Kishore Biyani, IAS officer Anil Swarup etc. who have more information & experience. 👍

I realized this 'addiction in junk food' roughly 26 years ago when McD entered Delhi. I was forced to think how can something taste so nice each time? Then came Pizza Hut and Dominoes...same pattern and same pattern of questions in my head too. Because our ages old food and dishes - rajma chawal or any other rice dish or roti n curries...we get bored of them and even chole bhature! So why not pizza and burgers? I concluded that junk food houses add some addictive salts that keep bringing the customers back and with more new customers (ones in womb, ones out of the womb) of all ages and backgrounds. Since years, internet reveals the food modelling done for pizzas and burgers and ice-creams and what not...Booom...here you listen more of the hidden shame.

All those automobile companies who thought they can sell their old junk cars to us cheap are nowhere in the market. Similarly it is true as he said it is not chinese products which are bad. 2-minute Maggi refers to the quick preparation process where the noodles cook within a few minutes, followed by the addition of masala to complete the dish. While it's marketed as being ready in 2 minutes, we need to understand the psychology behind the title, rather than taking it literally. There are no ingredients that can be fully cooked and ready to eat in just 5 minutes. It’s about convenience and perception rather than the exact timing.👍🏽

I mean com'on who the hell has branded you as a podcaster when you are only vomiting out your giyaaan!! No one wants to know your penny opinions when you have made a great mind sit in front of you - apparently to listen to you only !!! There is a clear discomfort on the guest's face because you are way too much interrupting. Kudo to Sanjay sir's patience. I would have simply cut you off and left the room. Before making and branding, you really need to learn some conversation ethics, especially when you are running a so-called podcast on a social platform.

Raj, you may not know but maggie came at a time when Indian kids did not have access to any kind of noodles. The fact that they put a cheap packet of noodles in our pantry was not only a cheap thrill for everybody but also very enjoyable. As kids, we learned cooking, by cooking Maggie first. There you have another emotional attachment to this product. If you look at Maggie‘s first few ads on TV, you will see a few kids sitting around the dining table, slurping those noodles away. They were probably enjoying this at a birthday party or just another family gathering. The fact that Indian kids could SLURP away noodles that were tasty and easily procured, gave us a thrill. There is your second USP. As parents today, the millennials do not mind their kids eating, Maggie, in fact, they all eat instant noodles as a family. In the 90s, this was seen as a bit of a rebellion and the millennials loved it! Hope this helps 😊

Amazing PODCAST! People should learn marketing from this video rather than taking a course. @Raj Shamani love your picks as always. Would love to see something on SME growth- sales expansion- family run business bottleneck tackling ways.
