You don't have to convert to Sanatan (Hinduism) A person who is a seeker and question everything is a Sanatani
@jk_lol11 ай бұрын
Technically, the concept of Hinduism doesn't exist. You should consider looking up the term "hindu" and the etymology of the word (see: Sindhu). It can't be concocted as into an ism because it's the polytheistic and there is no one, absolute God. But ever since the concept of a God as existed in these lands, you've been allowed to worship whoever/whatever. You could worship an enlightened man, or you could worship the forces of nature, or anything that is part of nature (a tree, an animal) My point being that these lands have always allowed everyone to have their own beliefs and has encouraged challenging those beliefs. Which is where the latest sects of Hinduism (Buddhism, Jainism) come in and introduce spirituality. So no, there's no conversion to Hinduism because it's not a religion - you're already a Hindu, because it's more than a religion - it's a way of life.

Amazing podcast as always. Been following your series of geo-political aspects for a while now. However, have a suggestion @BeerBiceps, when covering such complex geo-political stories, would be really great if you could accompany it with maps wherever possible. For instance, when you folks talk about the creation of Palestine post World War 1, you can show the map of Palestine. Similarly when you guys talk about Yom Kippur, pre-war and a post-war of Isreal will really help. This actually helps to visualise a lot of how the world around has changed and how it impacts the current generation and it really helps in geo-political story telling

1:23:25 It breaks my heart when I remember the video of a Palestinian child (less than ten years old) running around crying saying that an infant who was with him died from Israel’s air strike. The boy said that the baby’s brains exploded in his hands or something of the sort. And then he went about crying ‘what kind of a life is this?’ To think that Hamas or the depraved “leaders” of the Palestinians have manipulated them to the extent that it is impossible to tell apart who is doing more harm to the Palestinian people is insane. The Gazans will never be able to think beyond the rhetoric that ‘Israel is our enemy’ and bears all responsibility for this carnage. It’s their own psychotic leaders who at the heart of it are majorly responsible for wasted lives full of suffering.

I discovered Abhijit Iyer from Abhijit Chavda . I so wanted to hear his thoughts on this subject as I was aware from X that his views were different than I expected. them to be. I'm grateful to Ranveer having him as a guest. I respectfully disagree with AM on this topic but appreciate the history and context of his thoughts. What a great podcast!!

Very nice. One of the points which Abhijit forgot to mention or I think he can debunk in the next podcast on this topic - that the Israelis have legally bought the lands from the Palestinians. You will hear this narrative of Israel being coloniser or occupier as if Israel was occupying land illegally. They bought these lands and there are land records to prove it of course. AIM should please debunk this myth in the next show.

Thanks to you and Abhijit who has spent such valuable time to explain the history and facts about the situation we see and hear about the Conflict which can be resolved by being honest. It is a tough task as Greed is playing a higher hand in playing the spoil sport . We want more content on this subject from AIM . Podcast has been riveting .

Great podcast! I am a student of history of israel. But got some aducation today. Ranveer i am becoming a fan of your show. Great neutral way to get your answers. The best thing about you is that, you ask questions like a student who is hungry for knowledge. And you are not afraid of becoming the devils advocate sometimes. Very few have have achieved this. Great stuff buddy! Keep it up!

They are not blind. They are bound by Ummah and a true Muslim must abide by it.

It is what Mohammad told them to do. They're just following him. I have said this before and will keep saying it whenever I can. Civilizations all over the world were doomed 1400 years ago with the rise of this desert origin barbarism. There's nothing anyone can do about it. Not you, not me, not our future generations. Nobody. It cannot be done politically, cannot be done militarily. No way. Accept the fact and your fate because it is impossible to cure cancer. Cancer of the body or cancer of civilization.
