"India is a civilisation. Not a nation-state." That is what we call the true history of our land.
@guptaji8123 жыл бұрын
Would like to both agree and disagree on this. India is both a civilization and a nation. We are definitely The Hindu/Bharatiya/Sanatana Civilization. Nation and State are two different things. A Nation is defined by its people, culture, customs, rituals, languages which in totality forms a National Identity. On the other hand, State/Country is basically a territory i.e. defined by borders. A state cannot without exist without a national identity but a nation can exist without being a state i.e. without having a certain fixed boundary. Perfect example of this is Israel. Israel Nation existed throughout thousands of years in the Jewish community even though they were not able to have a defined territory of their own. They formed the State of Israel in 1948 which was only possible because they already had a sense of National Identity. Summarising, Bharat is definitely a civilization namely Hindu/Sanatana Civilization which in turn gives us a National Identity through which we hold ourselves united in a State or Country. And the state or territories can be extended and held strongly beyond means only if we keep hold onto our national identity of being a sanatani.

To be honest in my childhood I used to think why people are leaving India they should serve to their nation But today I m grown 20 years old and realised majority of nation doesn't want to change or upgrade they are happy with what they are and I don't like this attitude ......to be honest I alsoo don't want to be here anymore!!

I am sorry if you feel that way but I have hope that India will rise and who said india don't want to change. Remember America become prosper nation in 300 years and we complete 70 year and doing incredibly well within 20-30 year will surpass America economy for sure.

The only way India could transform Indian society is by transforming its education system by- 1) Decolonize it, Keep things that are useful/productive and introduce the true history of Indian civilization achievements/failure, heroes and struggles. 2) Teach Indian worldview and philosophies which are far superior to many destructive western social schools of thoughts that either destroy civilization, cultures and ecology in pursuit of success. India was a spiritual leader coz we have a better school of thoughts that are NOT destructive in fact that has been India's USP since ancient time, anyone who thinks it's useless doesn't know the power of thoughts and social engineering in the success and direction of society and anyone says it's not working is delusional coz we haven't even studied them or practice them thanks to the misappropriation and corruption of those thoughts through a language that doesn't have the fundamentals to describe equivalent meaning. Example: English gave us the Destructive concept of "religion" when we didn't even have the concept of religion/religious identity or secularism which was an ideology introduced to combat the intolerant one finds in Abrahamic worldview (which might have been corrupted and lost it's meaning since ancient times just like India is losing its dharmic identity through its abrahamization of sub-cultures which are non-sectarian). The philosophy of Dharma is an antithesis to religion and have a higher version of secularism - not the god rejecting type but accepting type in all it's a manifestation from nature to knowledge. Even the concept of divine is different in Indian vs western civilization. When we use English we are forced to define the many concepts with specific gender/singular plural and different cultural context which draws false equivalence and corrupts the concept and the thought. 3) By practising skills and applied applications over ratta-fying for example a) Pursuit of nationalistic/societal/scientific interest - a cause greater than yourself drives a person to achieve more b) Developing interest in other fields which are non-academic such as farming, animal care or waste management Or arts/sports should be integrated at various levels in primary/secondary education so society becomes more creative and ecological or "Dharmic" which strikes a balance between personal freedom and social responsibilities. In other words as per the definition of Dharma - the education that translates into wisdom to attain "universal equilibrium" and strike a balance. This is what I meant by higher thoughts because of which Indian civilization is still existing but barely.

Honetly, India can learn a lot from China. If you stop looking at it emotionally and look at it logically, India is so far behind China today, but in 1990s both countries had equal potential. No shame in learning from others. China also learned a lot from Singapore in the beginning stages, later they learned bit and pieces from all the other asian Tiger economy. Even today they are learning from the US how to improve their finincal sectors.
