Frantic in the house - People's Army forever. Best UK hip-hop collective ever with, among many others, Frank, Mic Righteous, Logic (the UK one) and, sometimes, Lowkey and Akala. Not sure if they're still about just with different members.

One drunken comment - a bad one, I agree and I'm not defending it - which he apologised for got him cancelled but what was ignored was that most of his mates are black. Logic described him as his blood brother. Is that a genuine racist?

Shame about that racist rant he had at the african security guard hence the fall off in music
@YearRoundHibernater2 ай бұрын
it wasn't a racist rant, it was a joke in poor taste. The rivalry between black Brits from Jamaica and Africa was particularly strong back then, the security guard had stopped a bunch of the setup crew multiple times and he made a joke about it to the mostly Jamaican crowd. That's the context, the problem obviously is that kind of joke is fine for someone of the in-group to make but not for the out-group. There was no malice, it wasn't a rant, it was a misjudged it was explained to him and he immediately came back out and apologised to both the guard and the room and everyone moved on. Until a writer for an online music forum, who wasn't there and wrote more then a few pieces attacking non black rappers wrote about it without the context, suggesting that was coded language for black and the internet swarmed, despite many people who were there responding and saying it was being misrepresented, including the security guard. was he wrong to say it, yes, was it racist, yes, but it was racist in the sense that it was not recognising a cultural taboo not in the sense of hating black people. If people with the context still think it was unforgivable, fine their decision, but don't go spreading the idea that it was a racist rant without and context or nuance. At least give people the full story and let them make up there own mind on it
