Draude P. Tbh i was there and considering it was a day game there was a little over 19k. I don’t think that’s too hateful for a Monday at noon.

The start of the Reds' game vs. the Giants at Riverfront Stadium on April 17, 1976 was delayed for about 35 minutes by a swarm of bees that suddenly invaded. Just about everyone fled to the concourse, but a few thousand remained in their seats and vainly tried to swat them away, making for amusing viewing. Some bees were still flying around during the game, chasing a few batters out of the batter's box. It was an NBC Game of the Week, so it would be great if someone could find and post the footage.

If those are western honey bees, then one should not harm them with pesticides or any other tool. Swarming bees is a natural behavior which allows colonies to multiply. This behavior is when the bees are most docile. They have filled their bellies with honey and are now looking for a new place to call home. They are not trying to attack or hurt anyone. They are simply doing what is natural. Swarming season is in the spring. I suggest MLB come up with a plan that deals with swarming bees without harming them. They are incredibly important to our world. Thanks

Africanized honey bees are very dangerous! Now, the European ones, are said to be more docile. Bees will sting, though. Best to stay away from them, and let a professional handle the "removal".

@@charleshessproductions nah that wouldnt be it. Aside from foraging, they have little need to leave their hive
@charleshessproductions5 жыл бұрын
Well I mean by that logic we should never see them at all really except right outside their hives
@ileaddeaths5 жыл бұрын
@@charleshessproductions well, no, they wouldnt have a reason to forage at a baseball stadium. The only real explanation for me would be that a previous hive has swarmed. but they usually dont fly around like that, i guess unless they are extremely agitated. and if they were, the stadium would know. so thats why im puzzled
