Are the filters reusable time after time or do they eventually clog up? How many 20 pound blocks do you get out of each filter? Does the tank itself have a separate water jacket? If so why the need to add water to the wax in the tank? Would that be to separate out the sediments and debris?

The filter will last a long time, but dirty wax will cause it to clog pretty quickly. We typically use it once or twice before discarding it. The tank does have a water jacket, which is only for heating the wax. The added water with the wax is for cleaning the wax.

Have you tried to add citric or oxalic acid to the water ? It´s been said it will bind dirt particles. Paint strainers are also a way to filter dirt particles. Garden fleece or plant covers is cheap. Just a hussle to cut to size That is a lot of beeswax you are processing. Thank you for sharing

We have not tried that, but have heard about using OA to clarify the wax.
