Agree with comments, this is amazing and a work of love. Please do more of these! orchestra transcriptions are underrated, and Liszt’s ones reflect his love for his idol.

I personally think your 4th movement is better than Katsaris'. In my opinion, Katsaris ruined it by mashing chords in triplets. But you play it so clearly, and it sounds so good to me.

interessanterweise funktioniert gerade die 8. Symphonie mit ihrem manchmal brüsken und unwirschem Charakter besonders gut auf dem Klavier. Erstklassig gespielt!

I find it amazing the Ludwig could compose two astronomically brilliant works: Symphony #7 and Symphony #9, and yet compose something a mediocre as this. It's loud and soft inconsequential material 1st movement, the second movement has its charm, but is rather thematically tame,, though it might prove the greatest example of Ludwig's sense of humor, the third movement demonstrates nothing outstanding within its obvious classical style, the fourth movement rondo should have been the 1st movement and then Ludwig should have built the work from there. Again, his sense of humor shows. I think it's better as a piano piece. I like Kevin Suherman a lot and appreciate his learning of the entire cycle.

Unfortunate (conventional) phrasing mm. 3-4 of the first mov. Should be diminuendo to m. 4, not crescendo. Otherwise a stupid sF on D7.
