I like to think that you produce the sounds Beethoven would have loved to hear. I think you do. On those fabulous Fazioli pianos. And, after studying piano for 50 years, I had so happy to see a pair of hands that can do the job. You are fabulous. You shine a light on a god of music and human beauty. Happy times for you please.

I must also say that the sound of the recording presents all the subtleties of THE PLAYING OF BORIS GILTTBURG in an ideal way. The instrument he plays and the recording technique are as out of this world as Boris Giltburg's playing.

Beethoven's own words have certainly been revealed and underscored in these towering 32 works: 'Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy.' Thank you Mr Giltburg for sharing these revelations with us. Half a century later, Victor Hugo put it this way: 'Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.'

Hearing this sonata of Beethoven with Boris Giltburg after hearing Rachmaninoff with him, for me Boris Giltburg is the greatest musician among pianists and the greater pianist ever. WHAT A HUGE AND UNIQUE PRESENT IS HE FOR THE MUSICAL WORLD!!!!!

Magnifique interprétation, aussi sobre qu'inspirée, avec de splendides dynamiques, et un vrai travail du son. Comprendre, transcrire, puis transmettre la métaphysique beethovénienne est par ailleurs le premier souci, et l'objectif est magnifiquement atteint. Bravo, cher Boris Giltburg !

Boris Giltburg produces Beethoven sonata's like a cow produces milk (R. Strauss). It's not that he plays them (there are others...) but he plays them so well! Like it's a mission!
