Only a few days ago I found out this Saito Kinnen films in KZbin. I heard Brahms 1st and was dumbfounded. Then I heard Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings and the same happened. Now I'm hearing this and wondering if the precision and tightness of the sound they produce is the work of Ozawa, of those incredible musicians or if they are blessed by some Japanese music divinity! Not a wrong note, not a wrong harmony, not a note out of place, perfect timing, perfect dynamics. Mind blowing.

love this performance, very well done. Tempo was just right, not the slow of Furtwangler or the rapid of Toscanini.... much closer to von Karajan....just right.

I just read Ozawa's Wikipedia page...he studied with von Karajan early in his career.
