Amazing: I was struck at the same passage when I was like 12, and who knows why I called it (especially that unexpected higher note) "the women's note". Now I'm 70 and I do know why.

My colleague told me about Zander's "brilliant" lecture about classical music (in TED format). Looked for it. Annoying manner, poor meaning. Still never heard about this person too. Found this recording to learn, feel and understand more. The feeling is the same.
