BeetleCam is Back Teaser

BeetleCam is a remote control buggy with a DSLR camera mounted on top. I created it in order to take close-up, wide-angle photographs of dangerous African animals.

Well given it looks like a land turtle, not surprising the lions want to have a look-see. I am surprised they did not open it to see if there was any meat inside. Could consider giving it a bad smell to put the mammals off. Great creativity- I can see a lot of applications.

Hopefully They had a gps tracker fitted to find device. If the unit was covered externally in chain mail which was connected to a small remote activated electric fence type power device when things get to a stage where it is going to be badly damaged or run off with as seen, device switched on for a few seconds would be enough to make animal drop or back off without hurting it. An alternative would be remote controlled pepper spray to have same none harming effect.

Put a car alarm on it. It would probably irritate them into dropping it. I know my neighbors alarm makes me wish his car was far away! Great stuff, I'm going to break out my old radio controlled car and devise a mounting system!
