It was my favorite film , any genre, 2024 🎉......I hope KEATON gets Oscar nomination.

You said it 3 times! hehehe I thought it was better than I expected it to be and I agree about the music - the visuals and costuming were great. It wasn't fantastic or anything, but an enjoyable watch. That weird wedding musical sequence was...something. The McArthur's Park (Richard Harris version, of all things) and the Carrie knockoff with the music from the film (what is that nuttiness!?) was just crazy. I loved crazy Willem Dafoe's part. This just looked like a fever dream. It was a good enough watch. The Catherine O'Hara weirdness didn't make much sense and was kind of extraneous tbh (I agree that I love her too!). Jenna Ortega's character was kind of annoying to me, though. Justin Theoreux was sort of the same character as he always seems to play. Maybe it is just me. He just gives off weird vibes. As for Winona, at times good, at times not. I loved Monica Bellucci - I wish she had a bigger role!

Yeah, the wedding musical was one part where I started to check out. Not a fan of it. I think some characters should've been taken out of had their time diminished while others were given more time like Bellucci and Dafoe.

I have tried multiple times to watch the original and I just ...it's not for me lol. So I am not gonna watch the second. But I still like hearing how people like things haha

There are always going to be popular films that plenty of people don't find appeal to them. I have lots like that.
