I need to thank Olympia for introducing me to the "Very Delta" podcast in the last faves and shitters. And no I didn't know she existed before because I've never watched "Drag Race". I started watching you because of Jenna Marbles, and funny enough, you were my introduction to drag because I never understood it because I didn't have people in my life that had any involvement in drag whether being a drag queen or watching the "Drag Race" universe. I didn't grow up with many gay people in my life and drag was so foreign to me and I didn't understand it and it made me feel weird even though I was out I was uncomfortable. But after watching your content for several years now and getting to experience LGBT+ content from KZbin I was able to understand, appreciate, and enjoy it. And it helped me to get passed something that I was holding back. Like I was out but not fully appreciating what that meant and not fully embracing myself. Now I just feel like I love myself so much more for watching you guys and your friends like Megan, Kat, Char, Glenda, Roly, and Luxeria. Not only that but my understanding of trans people changed too. It was something I didn't know anything about. I wasn't able to appreciate the struggle that trans people went through that was similar but so vastly different from gay struggles. So I want to thank Olympia for introducing me to Delta Work but I want to thank both of you for being my introduction to LGBT content and helping me love myself and my community in a way I didn't know I could.

As I don't have a job where I can afford to do so in the capacity I would like to, I hope that will be changing soon as I have several interviews set-up in the coming weeks, one of which wants me to visit their site in a third interview. So I hope I will be getting a new job soon. All of the places I'm interviewing with are cancer research institutions. Once I do get a job at one of these places I'll definitely be in a position to get more involved in the cult! Be on the look out for me as a patreon member! I'm going to make it my mission to be friends with both of you because I feel like we would get along so well! I want to travel to the UK as bucket-list item and I want to meet up with you guys when I eventually do. Love you both! Your future friend, Morgan!

I live in Pennsylvania and I was in the bakery section of a supermarket and went to take muffins off a table when the person across from me placed their hand on the same muffins. When I looked at the person who the hand belonged to, I saw who I truly believed in the moment, was Olympia out of drag and I was so shocked, I gasped and apologized profusely. My vision had temporarily narrowed upon seeing them and as it began to widen, I noticed out of drag Olympia was standing with a young woman in her late 20s holding a baby and then I realized, based on the woman's expression that I had been staring at them wide eyed with my mouth open. I started to laugh while thinking how stupid it was to not only believe Olympia would be in Pennsylvania but at 8am on a Sunday to buy muffins. I wasn't even sure what I was doing there at that hour. I blurted out " I'm so sorry I thought you were someone else." and walked away quickly. I pretended to be super interested in the bread section about 20 feet away and when I calmed down a bit from embarrassment and I couldn't see them in my peripheral vision anymore, I backed up to get back to shopping. Without thinking, I jerked backwards to get out of the bread section and made full on contact with someone behind me. I made an oh my God noise and turned to see that i'd just backed into Olympia twin and then a sound I couldn't recreate if I tried, lumbered out of my mouth; it sounded kind of like, " Gaaaaaahhhhhh" but in a sort of high pitch and I thought for sure he was going to flip out on me but he was really nice and he actually apologized for not watching where he was going and very quickly turned to his partner, who was on the other side of the bread display and said they forgot something in produce and needed to go back there. I wanted to thank him for being the one who wanted to get the f*CK out of there.

beetlejuice was such an 80s movie and a lot of us were kids at the time and I think it appeals more to the kids - so it's more nostalgic as to why it is a cult classic. so if you didn't see it until a few years ago as an adult, I can see why you didn't get it. everyone is soo into the the remake to relive the nostalgia - hence the dressing up at the movies. it's like a lot of 80s movies where it's very much great at the time and if you didn't see it at it's peak of popularity then it's lost on you

Beetlejuice was a fantastic movie and I agree, it was completely of its time. Over the top 80's gothic. I still love the movie and am just hoping that BJ2 is not a letdown.
@stevetayler95182 ай бұрын
@@Handlebar-MustDashBJ2 is best viewed as an ‘Anniversary Special’ rather than a movie in its own right. It leans heavily into the nostalgia (and does it well) but doesn’t even attempt to be as good a movie as the original. It’s purely for the fun of seeing these characters again and Burton is wise enough not to aim any higher.
@Handlebar-MustDash2 ай бұрын
@@stevetayler9518 That sounds fair enough, thank you. I will definitely give it a watch. The movie is held in such great affection that an 'Anniversary Special' is a very welcome and a worthy addition to the history of the film. For me, the original is one of those feel good movies with a very unique atmosphere around it that stays with you for life. It became an instant classic on release and was so original and groundbreaking at the time, all of my friends spoke very highly of the movie the very first time they watched it. I wouldn't even class this film as a 'Cult Classic' to one particular generation as its appeal was much wider than that to us generation X'ers. To younger generations it is no doubt a Cult Classic though. In the mould of Evil Dead, American Werewolf in London and Michael Jackson's Thriller music video all produced from 1978 and through most of the 80's to name but 3. In that period of little over a decade comedy horror was very much of its time although later revised somewhat in the year 2000 by the Scary Movie franchise and Little Nicky but without the family friendly element of Beetlejuice. I don't think that anyone ever worried about their kids watching Beetlejuice which considering its dark content and subject matter is a great testament to the fantastic writing, acting and directing of the movie. It is a fantastic film for all of the family to watch at Hallowe'en and there are not too many movies in the horror or comedy horror genre you can say that about.

@@Handlebar-MustDash Evil Dead II is my favourite from that era. Positively bursting with invention. Gremlins also had that very dark but at the same time wacky and cartoonish vibe.

@@stevetayler9518 Great choices Steve, I can tell that you love your movies too. I totally agree Evil Dead II is fantastic and also Gremlins, amazing movies with unique art styles, characters and such sublime scripts and yes you are so right about the inventiveness, they were years ahead of there time inspiring so many other moviemakers to adopt their style. What a great time to be alive in the 80's, so much excellence in cinema and music. Soundtracks to movies took a leap forward too in the 80's, they became so so good back then with Dolby theatre. I still vividly remember the fist ever Dolby 5.1 surround sound movie I went to see at the cinema, it was Robocop in around in the early 80's, my hometown didn't have a cinema for around 5 to 6 years until a new multiscreen cinema opened so I was a bit late to the experience. The sound as the ED-209 activates and opens up with the cannons was so amazing back them. The opening scenes of Lion King too where the lions are being stampeded by those elephants, the soundtrack in Full Surround Sound was absolutely amazing. The elephants feet thundering across the ground, just epic. I have around 1,200 DVD's and possibly 400 to 450 VHS tapes and I couldn't part with any of them, from the full, 3 double box Tom&Jerry boxsets on VHS all the way through to Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1, 2 & 3 in the metal Gas Can case. I have a limited edition copy on DVD of BladeRunner with 3 original cells from the 35mm film copy, supposed to be from the masterprint but I doubt it. The old Samsung VHS Recorder is getting a little tired now, rewind is slow but it is still easy to screen DVD's on XBox and Playstation. Will be sad when these machines fail, once the head goes on the VCR, it will be unrepairable. The machine was one of the last VCR machines made so it is going pretty well when compared with much older machines which are tough to keep running unless you keep them as museum pieces using just once a year or so. Streaming is great but no substitute for owning an actual hard copy of the movie and playing on original hardware. Sorry for such a long reply but I love chatting to fellow movie fans with great taste in films, cheers and have a fantastic week.

This may of already been resolved but the way I have dealt with a similar thing with one of my cats, was to use the ignore technique. When they bite, try to not react or make any noise. Completely ignore them and put them down on the ground or walk away. When they act nice, make a big deal about the good behaviour. So far, if you stick to it and be consistent, it's the quickest way to kick the habit.

I feel like Olympia's problem is not really with the sweet pumpkin but rather with the spices used in sweet things, considering she also doesn't like chai. If you come across it in a turkish market/restaurant, i strongly recommend turkish style pumpkin dessert (kabak tatlısı) as it is only pumpkin in syrup, sometimes decorated with walnuts and occasionally tahini. And maybe you can even find candied pumpkins which have a nice crunchy outer part, they're so delicious and satisfying. And neither of these have spice in it. Worth a try ❤

I am living for Nova's wig and Lymp's SO Fall witch hat! We have a big orange kittyboi who is just a big old amiable goofball. Did I mention he's big? He's a licker, though, and I don't allow animals to lick me. I just tell him no when he tries to start licking me and then he pretends he was just licking himself. Our black Halloween kittyboi was encouraged to do love bites by his former owners and I don't know why because his teeth are kitten sharp. He's much better about it now because we'd just end the petting whenever he got nippy and say "No biting!" If the bitey cat is on your lap and tries to bite, tell him No and gently put him down on the floor. Repeat as necessary. You just have to be more stubborn than the cat for a couple of months.

@Novympia So glad Nova is enjoying Agatha All Along! You guys may also enjoy another quite campy show called Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I will admit there is some sappy teen stuff in it but it never takes itself too seriously. I mainly like it because of the aesthetics and a semi original take on witches that truly feels like you stepped into a world with actual witches. Agatha All Along is soo fun and campy and silly. It has similar vibes to Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I wish the episodes were longer by like 15 minutes. Because I think some of the trials feel sort of insignificant and too quick in comparison to what we could get for a trial for witches. SIDE NOTE I THINK Olympia would enjoy pumpkin pie however it has to be the right pumpkin pie. I feel the same way about Pumpkin Spice treats and drinks as well. Only when they truly taste like pumpkin pie spices are they good and that’s rare. Because pumpkin pie isn’t really as much of a thing in the UK I have a feeling a lot of the shops selling pumpkin spice flavored sweets, drinks, and treats don’t actually know what it’s supposed to taste like. That’s just a guess though. When a good friend of mine from the UK visited in the fall 2 years ago they were blown away by how much better our pumpkin spice drinks and treats were here. I suggest going somewhere that uses a Pumpkin Pie syrup rather than a pumpkin spice syrup. DaVinci and Torani make decent ones. And if you don’t like things as sweet try having them take away 1/2 or 1/3 of the syrup the would normally use for your drink.

Looking gorgeous ladies! Nova, with regards to Luther this is partly your fault for being over-affectionate I hate to say, he is now becoming overprotective towards you and may even become nasty to Olympia if you don't stop this behaviour. You have a ritual with him in some way that has made him now think that biting is ok to show his affection to you and you have to stop this. Can I suggest (this happened with my cat) you need to break the cycle. If he bites or nips you you immediately stop interaction. Don't tell him off and then fuss him later, this will cause confusion. Also don't react to the nips if you can help it as he will think it's ok to keep doing it. As much as you aren't going to love it you need to disassociate affection with the bites and nips. So, next time if he does it, walk away or put him down from your lap and refrain from stroking or praising him. See if that helps. Also, let Olympia start feeding him more.

Beetlejuice isn’t why you like the movie. Lydia, Delia, and the Maitlands are the fun parts. It’s also a movie that a lot of goth kids connected with when there really wasn’t any before. It was a lot of firsts for teens and a lot to identify and love about in its originality. Now you have odd off the wall movies everywhere. Fifth Element was similar. It was just so different. I think if you didn’t live through the initial release you probably won’t appreciate it as much. Lots of people who don’t like the original, LOVE the second one. And Beetlejuice is never the reason people love it. He’s odd, but you watch it for Delia, Lydia, and Astrid.

Maybe not tomorrow morning but soon. Thanks so much for helping with tonight's entertainment. Now for bottle 3. That each not between us 😂😂😂xx

There's some awesome recommends in here lovelies, thank you! I definitely think nostalgia plays a huge part in the Beetlejuice mania, it does for me at least, it was just so weird and wonderful and not like anything I had seen before. I felt like I'd found my people XD Looking forward to starting Radio Rental and watching the cell with some Cadbury pumpkin cakes after this. Cheers me dears!

"And we're EDGING..." "Don't say edging..." "....towards enchiladas." Olympia's love for food will never not be relatable to me.

Lymp's come as Hyacinth Bouquet in that episode where a dog nicks with the plastic fruit from her fascinator.

I love how often I share an unpopular opinion with you girls. I saw Beetlejuice a few months ago and absolutely hated it.
