Hands down, one of the best quirky films ever made. Encapsulates that entire 80's branching into 90's weird vibe. Also began my love of Harry Belafonte, and Calypso in general. Lives in a special place as a childhood film that I revisit each Halloween. Practical Magic and The Crow are also go-to Halloween films for me. Never Nightmare Before Christmas though, that is a Christmas film and I will die on that hill.

Tim Burton best movies are Ed Wood and Big Fish,if you want fun movies i recommend Frighteners, Better off dead,Grosse Pointe Blank,Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,Blues Brothers,The Jerk,Young Frankenstein ,Blazing Saddles.

Agree on all points esp the "weird" part. I remember seeing it the first time & also had a good time. Ridiculous is just that to me. I watched it to c ur reactions but honestly I wouldn't choose to watch it again for myself. There's way better movies to suit my tastes more efficiently. You said u liked Tim Burton. He's well known for strange & didn't see that coming types of movies. I'd much rather watch Stephen Spielberg, Ron Howard, Clint Eastwood, Mel Brooks or Quentin Tarantino movies. Of course everyone has their own tastes in movies. Thnx Sal .. enjoy the evening. 🙂
