I had a video chat with Rob McClure (Adam) and I asked him about what it was like to fall through the floorboards when he and Barbara die. He said that there’s a trapdoor in the stage that’s covered with a layer of styrofoam with a rug on top of it. When it’s time for them to jump into the floorboards, there are these lights behind the seats where the audience can’t see. They blink red when him and Barbara have to jump into it. That’s when the trapdoor opens and they can hop onto the styrofoam to make it break under them. Rob said that there is a square on the rug that shows where they have to jump, and if they don’t jump exactly in that square, they could hit their jaw or head on the stage and hurt themselves. Under the stage, there’s a mattress that Adam and Barbara fall onto. Rob told me that that’s the scariest part for him, knowing that the trapdoor might not be open and he could just jump onto nothing, or that he’ll miss the square where he has to jump. Sorry for the long comment, I just thought that it was interesting.

It's an alternate version. Both of the promo tracks that have been released vary from the stage versions. The ending of the Say My Name promo track is completely different from the stage version, which will hopefully be reflected in the OBCR.

This is such a bizarre show. It seems like it’s 100% spectacle and maybe 10% substance. I watched a lengthy behind the scenes video on this and all they say over and over again is Tim Burton this and Tim Burton that. Is this intended for children? That’s about the intelligence level I’m seeing in the production design. It’s not there to tell a story, it’s there to look cool. It does look super cool. It’s just bizarre and appears to be extremely shallow.
