Ooooh, I’m definitely getting this set! I love blues and greens on other people but whenever I try them on myself I just don’t like them. Doesn’t feel like “me”. I’m much more into pinks and reds and I loved every single color in this kit! 🥰 This is a set that could take me through an entire year. I just ordered the beetles dip powder set in the same color story and after watching your video I’m even more excited for it to come! The colors in the product photos in the Amazon listing are the same between the gel and dip sets so I’m interested to see if they look the same in person. I almost always go for a glossy mani but every now and then I’ll do matte if I feel like switching it up.

Do you need base polish for swatches ? Or to buff the nail before hand on the stick

I would say just buff the nail and start with the color coats you really don’t need the basecoat and buffing will always help make sure the gel sticks to the plastic. I do neither 😂 every once in a while I will buff the swatch but I generally just polish, topcoat and done. Every once in a while if they fall the color will pop off one of the nails but I have hundreds of swatches and over 7 years that’s happened maybe five times

I have been doing nails for seven years now and I can tell you that Beatles is an amazing brand. my reviews are the most thorough you will ever see. People that have issues with alertly are far and few between but if they do they will have issues with most products n my experience. But everyone is different and I would definitely recommend that you try it and see for yourself. I have reviewed Beetles so much I truly do love their products and you don’t even need to take my word for it watch the reviews because they speak for themselves I promise you I am the most thorough reviewer nail products out there. The only negative thing I can say if it’s even really negative is that they don’t have a regular polish to match the toes because I only do regular polish on toes and also that their polish can be a little bit of a bitch to soak off LOL but it just needs a little bit of time in patience. I love their brand

How can I prevent the gel running on the edges of the nail? Even if I clean the edge it keeps running when I cure the gel 😪

You need to apply less product! And you also need to make sure that your nail plate is nice and clean of the cuticle because once the gel touches the cuticle it tends to kind of soak it up and run along the edge. So make sure your nail plate is nice and clean and the cuticle is pushed back. Andapply thin coats starting with the base coat. If the basecoat is runny the gel polish will also be runny. Squish the application brush on the edge of the inside of the bottle to remove excess product from the brush They can hold a lot of polish and when you start applying it on the nail too much product can come out. And remember practice makes perfect!

Love the glossy but really love the matte. I’m trying to figure out how you had glossy on one side and matte on the other side of your swatches. Do tell! Lol!

LOL I first finish it off with a glossy coat completely . Once it is cured I wipe off the sticky layer and then I go in with the matte and just polish half the nail I try to be really even going down the middle sometimes I have to wipe it off and do it again lol . I wipe the sticky layer off of the cured glossy topcoat because if not when you polish the matte half it will kind of bleed over and will not be a sharp line
