Ventilation does very little in the winter. There is not enough temperature difference to provide lift, like there is in the summer, plus vents are often covered with snow. What this attic needs is air sealing. They simply need to stop the movement of moisture from the house into the attic.

RMR 86 is the much superior product. Especially now since this was 3 years ago. There are many new products, and as someone who works inside extremely hot attics every day, you want the quickest and best product. Shit is amazing.
