With all the tutorials you have on how to appy these effects, I now look at tv commercials and can pretty much name the kind of effect they do in them. What an exhilarating feeling to know that I could create the same effect in a video!!

Thanks. Yep, you can do just about anything you see as long as you understand how to make it happen.

Nice video, a much quicker and easier way is after you've added your mask to the second layer click on the PIP designer for the 2nd layer and add a border, make the border the thickness you want and you're done.
@PDU_Tutorials2 жыл бұрын
Yep, that's what is done for making a split screen but you can't do a before and after because you can't move it across the screen.
@mjbdigital2 жыл бұрын
@@PDU_Tutorials maybe I didn't explain properly but you def can that's the way I do it without having to use a colour board. If you use the full screen mask at the top, make it a little larger than your screen, pull it to the side so it's completely off the edge of the screen. Use whatever key frames you want to stretch it across the screen so it wipes across the screen how you want. Then in PIP designer add a border, PD adds the border to the edge of the mask, giving you the same effect. Hopefully I've explained it better but trust me I've done it several times on videos before, I used to do it the other way before but this is far easier. Hope this helps.

Just came across this video while browsing for a few mins and checking messages..I like the effects and lessons you have on certain topics and you teach it very well...I will continue to re watch this whole video when I decide to create and work on a edit video somewhat like this and takes notes.... ALSO I SHOULDA BEEN HAD THIS APP DOWNLOADED ON MY COMPUTER ALONG TIME AGO...I HAD VIDEO EDITING APP SIMILAR BUT FOR SOME REASON MICROSOFT MUST HAVE DISCONTINUED IT BECAUSE I ALWAYS USED THAT ONE TO EDIT MY VIDEOS AND THEY ALWAYS CAME OUT GREAT 👍I just wanted to comment and let you know that...and have a good day..🙋😊

Ack! I don't have the 'Color LUT' tab in my effects! Is that an add-on? I am a 365 subscriber but can't seem to figure anything out on the website... what am I missing?
@PDU_Tutorials2 жыл бұрын
Nope, you should have it. If you don't try updating to the latest version using the CyberLink Application Manager. If that doesn't work contact CyberLink support

So quick question. Does the original clip always go on track 2 for all edits involving 2 different clips where one is edited? Thanks for your input. 🙂
@PDU_Tutorials2 жыл бұрын
No, depends on what you're doing and what tools you're using.
@xone8382 жыл бұрын
@@PDU_Tutorials oh I see. I'm just trying to figure out proper application of the different tracks and how they affect the final production of the video. Thanks again.

h Hello Maliek First thank you for your tutorials great job. I am73 years young and I use power director 12 and your tutorials have helped me edit our home movies. I live in Australia and my only problem is which system to use PAL or NTSC IN THE SETTINGS. My videos are 29.29 ? but Pal ONLY HAS 25 OR 50 FRAMES Should I set it for 30 frames NTSC even though Australia is PAL system. Do yo have a tutorial on this issue ?.( I produce my videos as Mpeg 4 ) Thank you again .
@PDU_Tutorials2 жыл бұрын
Set your project to PAL. When you go to the Produce tab and select H.264 / MP4 and Default. Is there an option to Produce 30p? If not, have you looked into creating a Custom 30p profile?
@dougsorensen75762 жыл бұрын
@@PDU_Tutorials Thank you so much for your reply. I do not have a 30 frame rate, but I have checked other videos and most are 24 frames maybe I leave it at that rate. With the help of your tutorials I am making a video for our Men shed group. Do you have a video on the produce page for director 12?. Thank you for your help Maliek
