Hi, this is very informative and I’m planning to travel there and get a tattoo on my 18th birthday. I wanna ask something tho. How painful was the whole tattoo process? pls do rate from a scale of 1-10 ‘cause the thought of having mine soon frightens me; my pain tolerance is on the lowest spectrum lol

Hello! It depends on which area you want to get it. Areas with a lot of fat are less painful, and areas with a lot of bone are more painful. Using my tattoo as a reference, the three dots were near a bone so I'd give it a solid 8/10, but the prayer part was only a 6/10. Hope this helps!

I prefer you guys go to tabuk city, kalinga(also better for those who wants to stay in hotels first before going to the mountain) than going to bontoc,mt. Province.

Mabuhay! Salamat Ryan! Such an informative video! Hoping to come and visit Whang-Od in the purpose of reminding myself not to lose sight of our culture. Especially that I grew up in such a multi-cultural country (Australia) where we tend to adapt to other cultures to survive. It's not a bad thing to adopt other culture, but I think it'll leave me questioning who I really am if I don't search for where I come from and the culture my fellow Filipinos have and what is the purpose of it (life) all because, at some point, we tend to forget if we don't see, feel, hear it often. Tattoo from Whang-Od is the best mark along with memories of the journey to remember. Filipinos and are fellow travellers who got tattooed by the Master are so blessed.

I used this lotion called Tattoo Goo! But if you walk into any tattoo parlor they should have something similar :)
