I had problems topping my fairway woods, but after adjusting my set up so I was putting slightly more weight on my lead side and extending my follow through, I'm getting a lot more accurate consistency with my ball striking. Great advice, thank you Danny

Been following these videos for a 2 or 3 years now and I have to say they are a delight to watch and the cumulative effect on my golf game has been very positive. My slice/fade is fading and I have the tools to hit straighter. My iron striking is improving from being dire. I get out of bunkers mostly first time (deep ones in our Links Course). My woods I am no longer afraid of and the hybrids are fairly consistent. Putting been a bit dodgy recently but that's golf for you. Thank you Danny

As a self taught golfer of 15 years; then lost 7 years of play due to cancer treatments. My lowest handicap level was a 3. Now back to a 17 😞. I would say the these two clubs were/are the most difficult to figure out (driver & fairway metal [7 or 9]). This is exactly what I have been missing for a long time! Thank you so much. Eagle a Par 5 this week. 284 Yard drive. ( 53 years old ) 212 Yard 4 Hybrid. On fringe 18 feet to hole. Putt from there to get the Eagle. I credit Danny with so much. Danny, I love how easy the swing feels with your suggestions. Today I tried your tips at the course and I crushed a 5 wood 215 yds to within 2 feet of the flag for a most improbable birdie in the toughest hole at my local course (a handicap 1 hole)! Thanks for the reminder on ball position and the tip about the straight left arm though impact. I have really been struggiling the past year not playing as much because my game has been awful. I watched this video yesterday because I haven't been able to hit my fairway woods and all my irons have been problematic. I played today not expecting much but the real difference was I was more focused hitting all my clubs. It was my driving that improved the most when I focused on ball position. I was hitting much higher drives and a good bit longer than I had been earlier in the year. My fairway woods were ok but it will take me more time and some time on the range to make a bigger improvement. Thanks really good video.

I've been using my hybrid Adams IDEA 4-iron lately at the range and applying the same setup technique as I do with my irons and I was amazed at how well it connected. As usual, all good stuff. For me, leaning the shaft slightly forward at setup and impact was the key to solid center strikes and higher ball flight. Seems counterintuitive but you have to get the face of the club on the ball for good compression.

One thing that I found to be quite useful was when you were talking about the swing circle and hitting the woods and hybrids at the bottom of the circle with extended arms, not retracted arms. Hi Danny I felt compelled to send you this. After watching your video on generating snap in the swing, concentrating creating the snap much later in swing than you think I have a VR headset doing nothing as I hadn't found a use for it. Last night I purchased a golf simulator/ game for it. I was very skeptical until I took my first shot with the virtual driver. My normal result with the driver was reproduced exactly on my headset. I couldn't get the ball away with any power, the ball going low and curving acutely left. (left handed) After hitting dozens of identical bad shots. I remembered you video on producing this snap in the swing. The results were incredible. The snap gives you a completely different feel it was incredible. I am no technology expert but I do know the head and hand tracking on these devices are very accurate.. Maybe these VR devices can have a use as a training aid, complementing our practice when we can't get down the range.

I already know this will help me because the man fixed my driver in two videos lol. The main issue I've had, especially when pulling a 3 wood out, is we usually aren't doing that unless we have a lot of ground to cover. For us amateurs that usually means trying to swing out of our shoes and we end up leaning back or dipping a shoulder trying to crush or lift the ball. The best advice I've been given in my very short golf career is - 'let the club do the work'. Set yourself up proper, swing with good rhythm and speed and the rest will take care of itself.

It’s getting boring saying how great and useful these videos are, Danny. I think I may have just had a lightbulb moment. I’ve become totally obsessed with staying on top of ball/keeping my head behind the ball at strike. You actually appear to be moving forward of it at impact (as with hybrid and possibly fairways) which brings explains why the shaft leaning forward is so important. Have I got that wrong. As I get better, I seem to concentrate on points in isolation , I get better and think I’ve finally cracked it, try to get even better and completely feck it all up 😀

Hi Danny So I have been looking at your chipping guide. Practised an hour before I played yesterday and what a transformation 👏 need to work on distance but strike was loads better than before. So my comment on Fairway and Hybrid .. excellent will practice on Wednesday. Your stance before strike looks nearer your front foot as opposed to your earlier shot showing 1 to 2 clubs off your lead foot. Played a round over the weekend and on #18 my buddies were checked out, only one of us hit the fairway so we decided to not even look for our hits and went with his. I lined up my 5wood and proceeded to hit the straightest shot ever and it landed on the green and about 12 feet behind the pin, made the putt for par and it was awesome!

Hi Danny. Thanks again for great tips . One tip that I have picked up using the driver that aids hitting up better and longer and straighter is to place the driver about 30 cms on the ground behind the ball. Works well for me - might work well for older golfers too 😊 any thoughts ?

Yes I’ve used that many times Peter as it helps to get the golfers sternum naturally more behind the ball at set up

Thank you for the tip. One thing I noticed was that when you hit the hybrid and fairway wood was that you had deceased the amount of gap between your lead heel than you mentioned earlier; i.e., 1.5 clubheads and 2 respectively. Maybe I saw that wrong. Check it out and see if you had moved. I do get the idea however and have been working on that.
