Jesus died so whoever repents and accepts Him as the only Savior will live eternally with Him. It is true He didn't die for us to live ordinary lives, but sometimes an extraordinary life means just to be fulfilled with joy that the gospel brings. Although in people's eyes we look nobodies. Jesus is more glorified when we are more satisfied in Him.

Good message but who else finds it hard to stay focused day after day? I am finding that the things I used to enjoy are becoming less and less without God. When I am in his word and 100 percent focused on Him, I have peace and joy..as I slowly try to start enjoying my hobbies, which I used to love, it is just not the same anymore. If we are called to be ordinary, like little servants and it is God’s calling, then i will obey and abide in him. Im not afraid of living ordinary life, and yet the intrinsic of born again christians are gifted to obey in God’s love, because the grace is so sufficeint for us

The key is not to be extra-ordinary, but to glorify God in the ordinary. Your "ordinary life" should be soaked in godliness so that in the every day, you can preach the gospel and have a defense for your faith when asked. Making disciples should be "ordinary"

I agree that the lifestyle that is so normal, plain, seems boring, however if God has called me there, just as you have mentioned, i will not hesitate to live a lifestyle in which God will be delighted and without abide in Christ, it is impossible. What I loved about Francis is that he makes it personal.. this is a personal message to me from God himself.. I remember the time I watched him and was excited thinking yes !! Here is a man who has a heart for God.. showing that reality in a non judgemental way. The personal revelation of God loves me and has a purpose for my life.. I remember when he was an encourager.. and glad to see he still encourages people. There is a huge difference between belief and religious attitudes. I don't see Chan as religious.. but a man of faith and who believes in personal growth. For a newcomer it can be overwhelming.. looking at a man who is much further down the road in relationship with God.. and looking at themselves thinking I could never be like that.. but that's why I had said it's an overcoming day by day.. it's a process.. it's self awareness within the understanding of God, then assessing self.. as he said going back to the word and saying really God that's how you see me? If you saw it for the men of old.. and are the same today, yesterday and forever more.. then these words can apply to me?? As he shows.. testing self against the word of God.. is this really what you want for me? This is what I feel you are saying but God can you confirm this for me? Thanks for that... I am a recent survivor of a major motorcycle wreck. The CHP says I missed an accident by avoiding a head on in my hot rod Harley Road King. They said I went 1000 ft off a cliff I was out for the count and with the help of a couple of ambulance drivers kept me breathing. I was in a coma for 6 days and didn't recognize my own sons who were by my side every day praying for me. You never know what God's plan is for us. I should absolutely be dead and after months I'm still in recovery. If I gave you a list of all the shattered bones in my body, it could only be called a miracle.... Before HE created me.

Amen. i agree with Francis. God is giving His Church the opportunity to be prepared for the time of not being able to gather together in a building to sit and have a person study His Word and share, and then walk away to simply return for the same the following week. Not that all believers do this, but it can and has become so easy to fall into for some. We need to ask ourselves, "Do i truly believe what i read in the Bible?" When i read Jesus' words in Luke 9:23-24, "If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it"...do i take Him to be serious? Do i truly grasp that to cling to His promise of eternity spent with Him, i am to deny me? He purchased me with His blood. Now my life belongs to Him, not me. Now i am to give myself away for His sake and for the good of others [salvation], so that i can joyfully anticipate the day i see Him face to face and spend ALL of eternity dwelling with my majestic Creator. Church, we were created for His glory. Only in His presence will we find - there is fullness of joy; and at His right hand are pleasure forevermore. (see Psalm 16:11). Wake up, stay alert

And just today I began reading Ephesians and that verse about being created for good works. I am created for good works despite my age (I am 66). When we are saved we are anointed, sealed, and baptized in the Spirit. Every believer has the Holy Spirit living inside of him/her, but we often quench the Holy Spirit instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us and control our lives. When we choose to sin or to not follow God, we quench the Holy Spirit. God desires that we walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit people see Jesus in us as we live out the fruits of the Spirit in our lives.

Excellent word. I found myself "talking" to you as you preached, for the Word was so anointed, it was as you were in my living room. I cringe as well to Hebrews 10:28, BUT the next verse says that exact word, BUT we are not like those who turn away. Wow, what a breath of relief saving verse! The most amazing thing about this, was God brought me to this exact verse this morning. Not in a devotional type of way. It was just sporadic. After realizing it was all marked up, outlined and high lighted, I decide to spend my quiet time there, in the book of Jeremiah. When looking through nature videos on You Tube to play in the back ground, your video popped up. Thank you. Gods perfect timing. His true followers, His children that are crazy about Him, know that however this virus began, He allowed it, He will not stop it, until this world gets it. Never stop preaching brother. You have ears to hear and eyes to see! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Only 4 mins in and he seems to be glorifying ourselves way too much. The only reason anything even exist is for the glory of God alone, not ourselves or anything else. God deserves all the glory. Of course we shouldn't live our life ordinarily. But we shouldn't live it to bring ourselves up, we should live it to bring Christ up. We should live it bring glory to God. And sometimes that means living a life that is uncomfortable, painful, hard. What does pursuing a career you enjoy and pays a lot(or not) do to bring glory to God? What does getting​ a nice house and car(s) do to glorify God? You can even say what does spending time with your family do to glorify God? What does working hard do to glorify God? If God is not included in any of these things, it is vain. If you are going to work hard, do it for God. Don't do it to receive glory yourself. But if people don't know why you are doing it, it is also vain. Because people need to see/know that the reason is for God's glory. If you are going to spend time with your family, do it by reading the Bible, praying, worshiping​ Him together. If you are going to get a nice house and cars, use them for services for free, that will present opportunity to meet other people's needs while sharing the gospel to them. If you are going to pursue a career you enjoy, if you have co-workers share God's glory with them. The money you get, use it for God's glory(by giving your money to expand the gospel/God's word or by using it to help people in need) and not to establish yourself as well lived by buying yourself nice things. Don't store up riches for yourself here on Earth.

I admired you since my first encounter to your sermon when I was in middle school. And now I get challenged seeing you preach in the middle of one of the most crowded cities in the world. I still fear speaking up or even standing up before anyone to confess my faith in God. It is my biggest struggle and I know one day I will have to overcome it. I don't usually comment but this time I feel the Spirit's prompting on this. You don't have to stand in front of many people to confess your faith in Christ. Find a close friend who might not have known your faith yet and share what you have experienced from giving your life to Christ. Doing that is already confessing your faith in Christ. Please do it because something profound always happens after your first confession of your faith to someone else. It prophetically seals the covenant. Bless you brother!

​@@jerwingamboa7088 I got goosebumps after I read your comment. Last week a good friend of mine died and the worst part was that he died as an atheist. After attending his funeral I was challenged spiritually and felt guilty for not having prayed for him. Like I previously stated, I lost courage on speaking up mainly because people these days are so overloaded with different theories and ideologies that I get scared of 'losing' when debating with my friends over the "truth". So all I'm doing presently is praying for them every morning after reading the bible. But your reply was the exact answer I was praying for and now I am being encouraged to try sharing my past miraculous experiences including this one with my friends. I guess my biggest problem was thinking only of proselytizing when all I could was take a more soft approach. Thanks!!!

Silence the voice of the enemy with the blood of Christ and make your mistakes building blocks which you can use to establish something of worth for your present & future. I walked away from my job several months ago. I felt compelled to but was not sure why... I could never imagine how much I would learn about myself and my journey with Christ in this short time. Had things stayed the same, I would not have gained this spiritual awakening. I can now give praise and thanks to God for the “thorn in my side”. For years I fought it...but now I can praise Him for it. Now when temptation comes I can thank God for it and praise Him for the power and strength to walk away from it. It’s so contrary from my past to alway fight things on my own. By yielding and acknowledging my weakness I am STRONG. I finally get it!!!!!! 🙏🏻

What is amazing about Jeremiah is this. Had he not believed that GOD appointed him to be a prophet when Jeremiah was born, the book of Jeremiah would have never existed. Jeremiah would have been just an ordinary person with fleshlike desires. God would have chosen another person to take his place. But Jeremiah believed in God and obeyed in the message spoken in his heart who he needed to be for Gods Glory. It is powerful to know Christ has that for all of us based on the message of the Cross. He loves us so much and His Purpose is not something we create or do. He appoints us no different than the relationship God had with Jeremiah. Oh How He Loves You and Me. Truly He did make us transparent for His Glory.
