Yes! I play songs the way I feel like playing them. The way I look at it is if I wanted to hear a cover or version of a song sung or played exactly like the original I'd just put on the original version of it. Nothing wrong with covers done just like original I just personally don't feel like doing them that way. But congrats on learning the guitar!
